Fantastic house in a great location. Everything you could need was in the house with the exception of enough mirrors (bedrooms and downstairs toilet). Comfortable and clean rooms appointed to a high standard.
The owners were very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
The only problem was the stairs which I doubt would pass safety standards in GB. I would not recommend this property to anyone with children, anyone with any mobility issues or anyone who likes a couple of drinks. It was hard to get the luggage up and down and we only had small bags as our stay was for just 2 nights. The stairs are mentioned in the description but until you experience them you do not realise the extent of the pitch or the shortness of the tread.
A beautiful home in a great location. Exquisite in decor with all that we needed. VERY VERY STEEP stairs ( high risers and narrow treads) so not for young children, limited mobility elderly etc. thank you for your hospitality Ingrid. Highly recommended
The house was fantastic and in a great location. Ypres is a beautiful City. The service provided by Luc was great as well
We have never been to this area and loved the uniqueness and quaint town of Ypres. There was so much to see and experience in this town and often marveled at the richness of culture and history. The accommodations were excellent and very modern and met our family of 6 adults very well. Our host, Luc, went above and beyond to ensure that our stay here was very comfortable and even gave us help as we navigated the town. He was readily available to answer all of our questions and looked out for our well being. Our many thanks to Luc and his family for providing such a "rich" experience.
Our 4 night stay was excellent. We came here to help better understand some history from WWI. Lovely apartment with very nice fittings and furnishings. Good range of equipment in the kitchen & easy to understand instructions for the white goods. Great location about half way between the train station & centre of town- both less than a 10 min walk. Bakery, supermarket, chocolate shops, many eateries & the Menin Gates all an easy walk. (By the time I'd made a pot of coffee someone was back with the croissants for breakfast). Could have hired bikes while in town to explore the area but we found that the knowledge of our tour guides was exceptional. Would recommend staying here- our family of 4 were very happy with the space, no need for a car and a town we felt very comfortable in- provided steep stairs don't concern you.
