The front desk was very kind at check in. The lobby is beautiful, a dynamic place with great sights, sounds and designs. The room was very comfortable, with a very fun bathroom and shower. The staff was kind enough to offer recommendations for dinner and chocolate as well as help arrange a taxi early Sunday morning. It's walking distance to many of the main sights, which really helped us in our stay.

Room Tip: The courtyard rooms were very quiet, but be careful when opening the drapery. You might give (or get) a show!

We stayed at The Dominican over a weekend in April. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the hotel has an air of sophistication and tranquility in the heart of the city. We arrived before 3pm and were given the room without a wait, and we asked for a late checkout and this was arranged without any fuss. This was the perfect place to explore the city - whether Grand Place and the tourist sites, shopping or nightlife. The rooms were well appointed, comfortable and quiet. We'd definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel is well-situated in a popular part of town with restaurants and shops two blocks away. The Dominican Hotel exists within a historical building with lots of character. The interiors are easy on the eye and rooms are modern and comfortable. Although not large, I really liked the bathroom layout and how it made wise use of the space it had to work with. The double doors leading into the bathroom could be left open to allow for a more spacious area.

One night, I hung the “Do not Disturb” sign on the door and forgot about it the next day. The Dominican had a really nice approach to this, and when housekeeping came around to service my room and found the “Do not Disturb”, they instead hung a “care package” on my door that consisted of fresh towels, new shampoos, tissues, bottled water and a roll of toilet paper. This really impressed me—having never had a hotel do this before. It left a lasting impression, and I will always remember the Dominican as being the very first hotel to do this in all of my travels.

A big Five Star rating for the cozy atmosphere and great service at The Dominican. I’ll definitely be staying here again.

Tip: The Dominican’s lobby and hallways are heavily scented with some form of extravagant essential oils. Although this scent experience is a bit overwhelming at first, it did not bother me. The rooms do not share this same scent profile, so once you get past the lobby to your room, you don’t notice it anymore. People who are overly sensitive to the smell of complicated essential oils as part of the ambiance should keep this in mind.

Very good and stylish hotel in the center of Brussels. Walking distance to the station, most sightseeing points and many restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a very nice room with comfy beds. Fantastic value for the money at weekends!

We stayed 3 nights and found the hotel to be a lovely base for exploring this wonderful country. Waking distance to all the major attractions in Brussels and handy enough for the main train stations if you wish to explore further afield. The proximity of the opera made for entertaining mornings whilst the singers warmed up and the instruments were tuned, although didn’t last long. We didn’t use any of the amenities but the gym and associated facilities looked good and seemed sufficient to meet most needs. We found the staff extremely polite and helpful and we particularly pleased to get an early check in following a very early flight. Much appreciated and meant we were able to make the most of our arrival day.
