My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for the period 26-29/11/2018. We booked our accommodation via “Booking.com”. At booking time we asked for a room on higher floors on the backside of the hotel to escape road noise, with good Wi-Fi reception, a request that was kindly fulfilled by the hotel reservations staff. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free. We were given room 401 which had very good sound insulation. It was in excellent decorative order, was clean and adequately equipped – the only serious omissions were the provision of a second chair (only one was provided even though there was room for a second one), the absence of a stand for our suitcases and a closed cupboard. All the equipment in the room was in good functional order. The bed mattress was excellent, being conducive to a really restful night's sleep. The air conditioning/ heating system was very effective and room service was first class. Also, there was excellent, free Wi-Fi in all areas of the hotel. The hotel staff were courteous, very helpful and effective at all times. The hotel is strategically located for someone who wants to explore The Hague. It is situated right at the centre of the old town, opposite “The Binnenhof in The Hague”. This means that one is only a few minutes on foot away from the most important sights of The Hague.
