Really convenient location unless you absolutely need to be right in the center of everything. The hotel is a 200m walk to the closest underground station (Isolatorweg) which was very convenient, but it was about a 30 minute commute into the city center. Very easy train ride with just one change (Zuid). The hotel parking was full when I got there which I sort of thought they'd have enough for the guests, but you can park in the front for 15 euros a day and free on weekends.

As for the room, it was very comfortable and I slept quite well during my stay. My only issue is that there isn't any instant coffee or tea, forcing you to go to the cafe downstairs (or the conveniently placed BK next door). The linens aren't the softest, but the bed was very comfortable. If you want to stay in Amsterdam and be away from the crowds, look no further.

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff that helped us navigate the public transit bus and metro stops nearby. The restaurant staff was also very helpful to us. We needed to get to the airport early, so they provided us with the necessities to pack a take-away breakfast. We were so grateful that they accomodated our needs. Although the location is away from the city center, the bus and metro run often, so it's not a problem. Very quiet at night.

An Ibis like any other, with identical interior & external decor and concept. Good budget choice. Yeah it is a bit far from the center, but close to Sloterdijk Station which has good connectivity to othet cities if you're planning day trips, and is also one train ride away from Amsterdaam Centraal. In terms of nearby restaurants, only mediocre options are available.
