This month, our history tour group had the pleasure of visiting the Conservatorium Hotel, a true gem in Amsterdam’s rich history. Our guide, Unwana, provided us with a tour, showing the hotel’s stunning hidden features and breathtaking Halloween decorations. The location alone is a standout, and we thoroughly enjoyed the inviting atmosphere, even wit the grey weather.

Stop searching. I spent days researching hotels. Narrowed it down to The Conservatorium and The Sofitel Grand Hotel.

Definitely happy we chose The Conservatorium. Incredible service. Quiet, beautiful light filled room with 1.5 baths and a balcony. Soaking tub that easily accommodates 2 adults. Rain shower was inviting. Bed and bedding very comfortable.

The Lounge served martinis and endless fries sprinkled w/ a bit of crumbled feta, black pepper, and scallions on Saturdays from 17:00-19:00. I think those were the hours. So. Good. Room service for breakfast each morning - omelette and French toast - yes please.

Proximity to Van Gough Museum, Celine, Hermès, etc.; vibrant part of the city. Visually quieter design aesthetic compared to The Sofitel Grand Hotel. Both tasteful, but The Conservatorium is more our style.

Look no further. The Conservatorium is absolutely the best hotel! I have traveled extensively and by far this hotel makes your stay special. Ethan, one of the concierge helped me make a purchase that would have been impossible for me to make. Had it delivered and was literally waiting for me with the parcel when I checked into the hotel again!
The restaurant staff was outstanding and the food… amazing!
The hotel is so charming you will love it!
I would not stay anywhere else in Amsterdam!

Loved my recent two-night stay. Had a loft-style room with floor-to-ceiling windows which was beautiful. The building itself is an architectural marvel. Two well-appointed bathrooms; one upstairs, the other downstairs. Breakfast was comprehensive and peaceful. The Asian-style bar had a hip vibe and great service. My only word of advice is to ask for a room close to the elevator. I loved our room, but it was indeed a hike to get down to the lobby.
