We spent 5 days in the Canal View room and it was amazing. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are exceptional. It is located right in the center with bars, restaurants and cafes at every step. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back shall we decide to visit Amsterdam again!
We had one extra night in Amsterdam than originally planned and had passed this hotel many times the previous few nights. It looked absolutely stunning through the windows, so we booked our last night here. It was by far the best place we stayed (and we stayed in some cool places!) The decoration and attention to detail are immaculate. Instead of exploring Amsterdam on foot, we found ourselves standing on the balcony and watching the world go by. The view was quintessentially Amsterdam, and we soaked it in for hours. Everything in the room and hotel as a whole was clean and beautiful to look at. My boyfriend, who would usually prefer a different style, equally agreed that it was the most charming hotel we had been to. To top it off, they left me a sweet birthday suprise! I hope to find myself in this hotel again. Absolutely lovely!
The hotel is really beautiful, inside and out. Bed is amazing, jacuzzi bath and nice fittings. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Missing a few things, which were a bit annoying:
- No kettle, just a coffee machine
- Fridge didn’t work
- No WiFi code in the room
- Breakfast not available until 09:00, which is no good for business travellers
Easy fixes though and then I would definitely be back.
....with this charming hotel! It probably doesn't need another positive review, but I have to echo what a wonderful, quirky, gorgeous little hotel this is. The decor on it's own is worth a visit, but it's the little things that count. From the personalised scent vials and robes / slippers / l'occitaine products in your room, to the helpful and welcoming staff, to aa lobby with coffee / tea / snacks and newspapers. Who does that? So much fun. Also note that I booked a smaller room to start, but then my first night had a group of loud girls in the room behind me. I asked to switch in the morning and they upgraded me to a large room for the next two nights, which was FABULOUS customer service. I could have been upset by lack of sleep, but instead left feeling they had gone above and beyond to rectify an issue. Thank you all, I'll be back!
We initially booked another hotel in Amsterdam but due to the pandemic, that hotel was closed so we booked two rooms for a one night stay in hotel Estherea. They had great reviews and excellent location for exploring Amsterdam.
Once we arrived in the hotel, we were welcomed and immediately given our room keys. The lobby is very cosy and boasts a little self service station with free coffee and water.
They arranged two rooms close to each other, partly connected via a little patio. The rooms itself were very unique and cosy. The bathrooms had a large bathtub and double sink. We had a view on the patio but had issues with the AC which did not cool properly. The room temperature was very hot and even opening the window did not cool down the room.
The hotel is centrally located, close to the metro and within the heart of the city. All sights and shopping streets can easily be done by foot.
