Hotel is fantastic but reception is terrible .. they have to hire experienced guys

Hi .. I didn't like at all my experience with the reception team. During the check in .. we spent around 15 minutes to get someone available although there are 4 desks for reservations but no one was there.

After the check in .. they told your rooms will be available after 3 hours .. it was ok and we respect that .. but once we came back after the 3 hours. I waited for 20 minutes just to get my bag which was kept there.

Last was the check out .. it was terrible .. again no body available on the desk, then she came and started the check out process .. I took around 3 minutes looking for my room number and my reservation .. then she told sorry you have paid 100 euros cash for security and she doesn't have cash .. and told me please go with my colleague to give me cash ..

Thanks God... Finally we managed the check out ... One of the worst experience I had ever.

Location is great! We had a balcony in November, got lucky with weather and used it. Simple room- just as we needed. Views terrific. Located next to central train station. Would definitely stay here again. Rooms were very quiet- and we had a corner room- once door closed- heard nothing in hallway or from next door rooms.

Fantastic last night in Amsterdam!!! Comfy bed, beautiful room. Loved the room service at 1am.
The hotel is central to everything and literally 5 min walk from Central station. Its worth the treat!
Concierge kept my bags for the afternoon too as I had a late flight out.

Room tip: Easy for uber and taxi pick ups and drop offs

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and found the breakfast to have a great selection, hot dishes need to be topped up quicker as leisure guests like to eat for breakfast and lunch in my experience. Reception and Concierge were efficient and helpful, recognition to Ty who could not help us more. Can’t wait to return when the ground floor bar and restaurant are fully reopened.

Visited the Luminair bar here & had an excellent time, great cocktails, atmosphere & music, when leaving Dylan (concierge) was very friendly and helpful when organising a taxi for us (we had a mobility scooter with us). Will book to stay here on my next visit to Amsterdam!

Not a fan of this hotel - been to Amsterdam more than ten times and this is probably my bottom ranking hotel. The hotel entrance is not easily accessible once dropped off by a taxi or Uber (due to renovations but definitely not ideal in the rain). I am pregnant and my room is far from the elevator - had to walk a distance with my luggage to get to my room. The bedsheets has a damp smell. There is no pleasant scent or classy ambience to the hotel. Upon check in, I was required to pay a refundable deposit of EUR50 per night otherwise I was not able to check in - which was not communicated to me prior - not ideal as an international guest. Certainly overpriced and under delivery.
