Very cramped room

Probably the most cramped room I have stayed in recent times. It is okay for one person to stay but if two persons have to share then it’s very cramped. The shower is too small. Room is little dingy. I will avoid staying here again. The location is good so I gave 1 star.

Stayed for two nights and aware of the renovation is going on until the end of the year before staying. Check in process was not the best but considering the on-going renovation and situation, hopefully it’s just temporary. Hotel staff are very nice, helpful and welcoming. There are few downsides - the room fragrance was way too strong and gave me headache and didn’t really have good night sleep. The room is quite humid even tho with air con on. Most of the TV channels are not working.

I am currently staying at this hotel, and my experience thus far has been marred by poor service and operational inefficiencies that have significantly impacted my overall stay.

Upon arrival, the check-in process was nothing short of a nightmare. There was a massive queue, and the staff seemed disorganised and lacked any sense of urgency. They were wandering around aimlessly, leaving guests frustrated and waiting for an unreasonably long time. Handing out cookies doesn't make up for poor service.

The breakfast situation has been equally chaotic. Despite the long queues, there seems to be no effort to streamline the process or optimise the flow of guests. Simple changes could make a significant difference, but the hotel appears ill-prepared to handle the volume of guests.

Adding insult to injury, the hotel ran out of eggs during breakfast, and it took an astonishing 15-20 minutes to replenish the supply. This delay was unacceptable, especially for a hotel that prides itself on providing a satisfactory dining experience.

The issues did not stop there. At one point, the lifts were taken over by the fire service, forcing guests to use the stairs. However, the staff seemed ill-equipped to handle this situation. When asked for assistance in navigating between floors, one staff member responded with visible agitation and reluctance, begrudgingly offering to help but with a clear lack of enthusiasm.

As my stay is still ongoing, I hope that the hotel will address these issues and improve their service and operational management. However, based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend this hotel until significant improvements are made in terms of service quality and attention to detail.

I will update this review upon my departure, but as of now, my stay has been plagued by poor service, operational inefficiencies, and a general lack of attention to guests' concerns. The staff's indifference and lack of urgency in addressing these issues have been particularly disappointing.

My experience at this hotel was far from pleasant. The biggest issue was the A/C - or there lack off. Even at the lowest setting, the room was miserably hot. The only place in the hotel that seemed to have functional A/C was the lobby.
The room was incredibly small - barely room for our luggage.
I had pre-selected my room on the Hilton app the day before arrival. After a 14 hour journey to Amsterdam, the front desk attendant relayed that our room was not ready but offered a different room. We elected to wait on the selected room. We returned to the hotel 6 hours later as instructed (normal check -in time) and were informed our room was still not ready. We again were offered a different room. We declined again and waited another hour as we were told the room STILL had not been cleaned. After waiting another hour, we were told (again) our room was still not ready. No apology for the inconvenience. No offer of explanation. If I hadn’t pre-paid, I would have sought other accommodations.
One positive - location to Central Station.

Room tip: Avoid this hotel. If you are expecting A/C as advertised, you will be disappointed and sweaty.

Clean room but smallest bathroom I have encountered in a long time. There was alot of construction going on while I was there which made it very crazy. Not a peaceful atmosphere. The lobby was cramped and there were so many people waiting there wasn't enough chairs for everyone. The staff was very friendly though. I was hoping for a room with a view but I looked out over the train tracks . It was close to the train station so we could walk which was nice.

Located next to the central station, this is a large modern hotel within walking distance of everthing. Rooms were modern and well appointed. It has a great rooftop bar with fanastic views over Amsterdam. Service was good. A safe bet in Amsterdam.
