Some beautiful pieces, very nice and only here in Amsterdam. However, very expensive. And other than the Impressionists, many of the collections were mediocre compared to other museums. Not sure I would go back.

The 10 year renovation made this one of a handful of the best museums in the world. Took us 6 hours over 2 days to give it the attention it deserves.

Although I enjoyed the Rijksmuseum, I found the collection of Dutch Masters quite limited .... even compared to large galleries outside Holland. It was great to see classics such as the Nightwatch and Milkmaid. The temporary exhibition, High Society, was good, not great. We enjoyed an excellent lunch in the cafe afterwards.

It is Amsterdam 's best place of interest! It was a great experience, the paintings were mind blowing! Need to stay for at least three hours to have a good tour. I bought the tickets online, easy and quick and no queuing for us at all! No need to print them, just a scanning on the phone in entrance.
I paid 5 euros for renting a guidance appliance but never used it. Waist of money, all the important information is written next to almost each painting.
Nice cafe and not expensive.
A must visit when you find yourself in Amsterdam.

Big historical museum, many great paintings, probably thousands in all.
You need some hours to see it all, but also get a good experience if just browsing through the 4 floors.
Great place and fascinating.
