Great hotel in convenient location, querky layout and very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly, gave us advice about taking a tram which helped us no end, also arranged an early check-in and let us leave our luggage on check out as our flight was later in the day. Canal view room was fabulous. Would stay again and have no hesitation in recommending.
I wish I got the gentleman’s name who checked my family and I in but we do appreciated his help and kindness. He was very welcoming and friendly. Location is of course great and they had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We booked canal rooms, rooms were clean, and we really appreciated the tea/coffee offered at the front desk.
The location of this hotel is great for exploring Amsterdam. Public transportation is easily accessible. There are a number of restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hotel. The hotel room was very clean. It is a lively area and we felt safe at all times. The hotel staff could not have been nicer. They were very friendly and helpful. We would be more than happy to stay there again.
We were given a room with three beds, which was spacious. But the window was looking over the extraction fan of a restaurant next door. The noise, vibration, and smell from the fan were unbearable. The receptionist kindly changed our room to one looking over the front street. Thanks to double glazing, it wasn't much noisy, but it was tiny. Almost no space at the end of the bed between the bed and wall. The hotel location is great, 5 min walk from central station.
The bed and pillows were amazing! I had a canal room and the bed was against the window with a perfect view of the city an the canal. It was very quiet! There was very little storage for my belongings but it was sufficient for a short stay. There was a tiny shelf over the sink for personal items. The room has a safe to store valuable items. The shower was tiny with no door, so the bathroom floor was wet after a shower. The hotel is very conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from Centraal Station and all the action! The breakfast is served in a restaurant two doors down and was freshly made. You could choose from the items on a limited menu, but it was a great breakfast with good service and plenty of food. Be prepared to walk on tight stairwells. There is an elevator but each floor has a few little sets of stairs and tight corners to get through.
