The location of this hotel is great for exploring Amsterdam. Public transportation is easily accessible. There are a number of restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hotel. The hotel room was very clean. It is a lively area and we felt safe at all times. The hotel staff could not have been nicer. They were very friendly and helpful. We would be more than happy to stay there again.
We were given a room with three beds, which was spacious. But the window was looking over the extraction fan of a restaurant next door. The noise, vibration, and smell from the fan were unbearable. The receptionist kindly changed our room to one looking over the front street. Thanks to double glazing, it wasn't much noisy, but it was tiny. Almost no space at the end of the bed between the bed and wall. The hotel location is great, 5 min walk from central station.
The bed and pillows were amazing! I had a canal room and the bed was against the window with a perfect view of the city an the canal. It was very quiet! There was very little storage for my belongings but it was sufficient for a short stay. There was a tiny shelf over the sink for personal items. The room has a safe to store valuable items. The shower was tiny with no door, so the bathroom floor was wet after a shower. The hotel is very conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from Centraal Station and all the action! The breakfast is served in a restaurant two doors down and was freshly made. You could choose from the items on a limited menu, but it was a great breakfast with good service and plenty of food. Be prepared to walk on tight stairwells. There is an elevator but each floor has a few little sets of stairs and tight corners to get through.
Stayed here for my boyfriends 21st birthday and it was brilliant!! Location is 10/10 right in the middle of everything or a 5 minute walk to a train station to go elsewhere. The room was huge and very clean and modern. Our room was on the bottom floor at the very end so we didn’t have to worry about being heard or hearing other people outside our room but this might be a problem for other rooms. Staff were very friendly, overall a great experience! :)
Location was ideal, central to a lot of things and short walk to/from the train station. Staff were friendly. Could get breakfast next door which was handy and nice.
However the rooms were ridiculously small, there was no ventilation. There were two windows in our room - the end of the bed blocking one from opening and the other one, only opening 1/4 of the way due to blockers no allowing full opening. The air conditioner smelt like mould and was clearly dirty. The bathroom had no fan, and also smelt like mould with black within the grout. I left feeling unwell due to the lack of ventilation in the room and likely mould from the airconditioning/bathroom and no continuing my honeymoon sick. Pictures are deceiving and not worth the money we paid!
