Hotel CC, Amsterdam - policies during Corona Virus world epidemic

We are booked in Hotel CC, in Amsterdam in June this year, prior to a cruise. Unfortunately due to the Corona Virus and me being a cancer patient, we need to cancel our trip and postpone till next year. 2 in our party are forbidden to board the cruise ship as they live in China. We have appealed to the hotel to either cancel and refund or hold a credit for next year and on both attempts to negotiate with them, they will not waiver and assist. I find this totally inconsiderate in a time where countries are trying to curb the spread of the disease. We are being responsible travelers, however hotels like this should be made public so that travelers know that they will not assist in any urgent or desperate matter. We are really upset about having to cancel our trip however we don’t have an option.

Thank you for contacting us. We do understand the worldwide problem of Covid-19. And Let me remind you that we are a responsible hotel and are in service almost more than a 15 years. And proud to say that because of our prime location and service we do have regular/returning guest in big numbers.

Coming back to your comments; I am not sure that when did you contact us? However we also need to cooperate with our Dutch government rules and regulations (Covid-19) to travelling industry and its implication to the hotel like us.

Generally, In case of pre-paid booking, we are unfortunately obligated to follow the non-refundable booking policy . However; understanding the current situation, the hotel management currently decided (probably for temporary period, largely depends on how this Covid-19 pandemic goes ) to make an exception to modify the booking if its possible. In your comment, you have mentioned that your arrival date is in June, If so, we still have time. Therefore, Could you send us an email to : reservation@hotelcc.nl please?

Nevertheless, we would like to apologize for any misunderstanding or miscommunication which might have occurred.

The hotel CC management team and I hope to welcome you in Amsterdam in the days to come.

Perfect base.

I stayed here with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the facilities. Firstly the reception staff are welcoming, helpful and very friendly. The room was clean, modern and secure. Will stay here on future visits.

As you noticed, our location is just a stone throw away distance from Amsterdam central station. And building itself; a historical and monumental canal building. Tiny, uncomfortable room

The staff of the hotel was extraordinarily helpful and kind; I have a slight disability, and they assisted me very generously.

But for the price, the accommodation was really too modest. The room and the bathroom were minuscule. The room temperature was always too hot or too old.

Room tip: Upper floor (3rd floor) may require climbing some stairs

We are sorry that you felt the price and the accommodation was really too modest. This is because the hotel CC Amsterdam located is in the heart of Amsterdam and the building itself is historical and monumental building ( famously knows as- gingerbread house in Amsterdam). And hotels in Amsterdam are relatively expensive than its competitive cities around in Europe.

Lovely hotel, fab staff

A very compact, cosy hotel. In the middle of many attractions, 5 minutes away from Central station. I had requested a room with a view over the canals and was delighted that we received a room with a view. The room is clean and has tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were exceptionally polite, helpful and welcoming. Arriving on a cold, windy evening, we were offered tea/coffee. Perfect for a few days away.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a view over the canal

We feel very warm to share a complimentary tea/coffee from the reception. furthermore, for the guest convenience, we have placed 24/7 hour shop (Full of drinks and snacks in very reasonable price) inside the hotel premises.

Great location

Basic hotel but everything you need, so extras just your room but on request you can get amazing views our room overlooked the canal as per our request. Lovely helpful staff & about a 3 minute walk from the red light district if even. About 7/10 minute walk from the train station. The Heineken factory was furthest away for us at about a 20 minute walk. No complaints apart from not serving hot breakfast but there’s so many options just outside the door it’s not a problem
