The apartment was in a good location on a quiet street in a nice area of Amsterdam and close to a couple of nice restaurants, a little supermarket and tram line into the city centre. It is easy to walk to the Van Goch Gallery and Rijksmuseum and Vondelpark. The apartment is spacious with a large bathroom, however, the bed linen has seen better days, had holes in it and hadn't been ironed. Our towels were still drying in the tumble dryer when we arrived. Cleanliness could have been better. Furniture and decor were a bit grubby and the kitchen lights wouldn't switch off properly. When it rained there was a leak through the bathroom ceiling and the smell of drains was very strong. The shower taps were broken. There are very steep stairs down into the basement apartment which would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. Because the flat needs a few repairs, I felt the apartment was over priced.
