- Super experience for the whole family (toddlers till elderly).
The first 'world' they started out with in the past was the 'fairytale forrest'. It now is a little bit dated, but exactly the same as in my almost 40 year old memories (with some extensions).
+ Check the website for the rollercoasters and attractions to plan your visit.
- Every attraction shows you what the waiting time is at the back of the line.
+ Not as expensive as Disneyland, but as beautiful if not more beautiful than the famous big brother.
+ Large parking, easy access, ...Parking for electric cars and campers
+ also for strollers, wheelchairs,... .
- Not recommendeble to go in the high saison: July and August (to busy)
+ Waiting times: check the website for busy periods
+ Food: enough choice (all kinds of fastfood: fries, waffles, hamburger,...)
+ Check out the pancake house with great interior decoration (event in itself).
- Not cheap enough if you live on a tight budget.

It has everything you need.
Facilities for small children, teens and even adults.
Relaxed facilities and extreme facilities.
Places of rest, restaurants and cafes.
The park is very large and divided into several areas.
So, you should plan in which areas you want to visit and which facilities you want to go up to.
I recommend entering the park as soon as it opens.
Before it gets crowded at the entrance.
You can lower the cost of the tickets if you buy them in advance on the park's website.
All in all, it was an amazing day for the whole family.

Beautiful amusement park that has some attractions for all ages. It is mainly known for its theme setting targeted to children, with areas such as the Fairytale Forest. However, we were two boys of 20 and 24, and we both loved the park as well! If you love rollercoasters as we do, then 'Baron 1898', 'Joris en de Draak', 'Python' and 'De Vliegende Hollander' are 4 attractions that you should not miss. Furthermore, it has some beautiful family attractions that are just very beautifully decorated, such as 'Symbolica', 'Droomvlucht', 'Fata Morgana', 'Carnaval Festival'. We also did the Raveleijn show which is included in the ticket and good (lasts 20 minutes). In the end there is a water show at the entrance, which was not so spectacular on our day, which is mostly because the sky was grey and cloudy.

Unfortunately, the shows and attraction stories are mostly only in Dutch, although the newer ones have some more elements in English as well. Nevertheless, it is still worthwile to visit the park for non-Dutch speaking people, even with children.

If you plan on having lunch there, you may consider the 'ticket extra' formula we bought, which gives you 30 minutes earlier access to the park, a lunch and a coffee + muffin break, as well as a 20% discount voucher in the souvenir shop. Only 10 euro extra so worth its money. Consider buying it online which is convenient.

There is a large parking at the park which costs 10 euro per car for the full day. Also, the park has a very good smartphone app with a very accurate map of the park, with an overview of eating facilities and attractions, including real-time waiting times of all attractions.

I visited Netherlands with my family for the first time, and decided to spend a day doing something we haven't done for a while... visiting a amusement park!

We knew about a place called Efteling, and that it was big and awesome, but by the end of the day, it exceeded our expectations by far! It was a refreshing change from the attractions in mainstream parks. Our kids specially loved the Fairytale Forest, where we spent almost 3h.

There is a lot to do for all ages and it's definately a place where you should go when you visit Netherlands.

My mother happened to find this amusement park and I am so glad she did. Efteling provides an opportunity to explore a fairytale forest, snack on unique treats, and smile and scream on a variety of rides. It is a beautifully maintained and landscaped park and provides an opportunity to spend a day with the Dutch people. It is reasonably priced and just about an hour outside of Amsterdam- accessible by highway. I have travelled a great deal and I rank this high on the must see list. Good for groups of all ages.
