Hotel is conveniently located. It's 15-20 minute walking distance from Oerlikon station but you can catch a tram or a couple of frequent buses that bring you almost to the door. Tram takes you direct to Burkliplatz on the lake front. Room was specious and clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Luggage storage is available for free which is a great convenience.
We don't pay much attention to bathrooms, just need a stall to take a shower. But the one here demands a detailed review. It had a partial glass door with some transparent designs so anyone can see everything you are doing inside. There is no sound barrier so if your partner wakes up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom you have to wake up too. Holiday Inn, please fire the New Age Artist who designed this dysfunctional glass cage and hire a carpenter to fix the door.
Breakfast was another shortcoming. They offered a limited "continental" version for 15 CHF and once we started grabbing items told us it was limited to bread, butter, juices and coffee! Not even cheese and yogurt? The humble Express in Lucerne offers a feast in comparison for free.
