There aren't enough stars for me to give in reviewing this wonderful, family-run hotel. I’ll get to the bottom line up front stuff first in case you don’t want to read a long review.

Our room was extremely clean and serviced TWICE per day. There were an abundance of outlets and plug converters throughout. There were two USB plugs at each nightstand.

The service in the hotel is absolutely top-notch. The staff displays an incredible attention to detail without being gratingly servile. Your water glass will always be full and if you need any special attention, you will have it. But if you want to chat with the wait staff, they are willing and able to take a few minutes to talk … give advice on things to see/do in the area and so on. We especially enjoyed chatting with Sandra and Oskar.

Breakfast is included with the regular room rate. This is, hands down, the best breakfast buffet we have had anywhere. You have your standard European fare: cold meats, cheeses, tomatoes, cukes etc. Whole loaves of bread to slice however you want. Fresh fruits, yogurts, granolas, jams, pastries… There is a chef to make omelets to order. A juicer with a box of oranges atop. You toss your orange into the machine and get the freshest OJ you will ever have. They bring you pots of coffee with pots of milk, which was REALLY nice after having teeny $5 cups of latte for the previous two weeks!

We signed up for the half board plan: 30 francs per person per day for a five-course FABULOUS dinner. (Right now the franc and the dollar are about at parity, so this is $30 for a five-course dinner. Of course, your alcoholic drinks are not included in this price.) One of my friends lives in Zurich and came to spend the first weekend with us. She was stunned at the value of the dinner – especially for Switzerland, where eating out can be very pricy. There were several nights I passed on some of the courses because I was too full a couple of nights. We were a little worried that we would feel rushed to get back in time for dinner (7 – 8:30 p.m.) but, as it turns out, we were always tired enough by that time that we were glad to head back. Each group has an assigned dinner table. We were lucky and had a window table for our week. There is free seating for breakfast so, if you don’t have a window table for dinner, you can try to get downstairs early for breakfast to be sure to snag one of those seats!

The hotel is EXTREMELY family friendly. They have a lovely playroom for young children as well as a playground and a room-size chess set outside. We heard families playing in the pool each night. That said, it wasn’t overly loud and there were also many couples without children. I guess I’m saying the hotel appeals to many demographics.

Since we booked for a week, our rate also included a six-day Jungfrau Travel Pass. This covered nearly all the trains and cable cars in the area. (There were a couple of cable cars and buses that are run by a different company, so those were not included.) It was so nice to go anywhere we wanted without having to buy tickets for each trip. The Swiss trains and cable cars really do run on clockwork. We always were able to just transfer from one train to the next with little more than 5 minutes wait. So it was handy to have the pass ready and just jump onto the next ride.

We booked room 304 (which I think truly must be the best room in the hotel). It has a small sitting room and a balcony looking straight into the Jungfrau valley. We had incredibly bad fortune with the weather on our vacation this trip. We were in four locations in Europe and, in three of them, it was cold and wet, wet, wet. Unfortunately, Wengen was one of those locations and we had serious cloud cover (like hardly able to see the valley some days) for five of our seven days. So we definitely plan to go back and book the SAME ROOM sometime in the next few years and hope for better weather.

The views we had on our two good days were gobsmackingly gorgeous. You really can't describe adequately how majestic the Alps are in comparison to anything we have in the States. And Beausite Park Hotel is perched above the little village of Wengen, with cow pastures right nearby so you truly get to appreciate the splendor of the view. You are not distracted by looking directly over a lot of rooftops. I loved listening to the cowbells each day.

There are some lovely walks you can take right from the hotel. And, when you want to go further afield, the Wengen train station is just about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. You can take the train to other villages and hike in those spots.

All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It was more expensive than the other hotels I looked at in Wengen. But our price included both breakfast and dinner – and we never needed lunch! It included the six day Jungfrau Travel Pass (which is about $250 per person). And, most of all, it included the best view in all of Wengen and the wonderfully attentive service of the Leemann family and their staff. Believe me, you will leave this place feeling like you had the best vacation of your life and counting the days till you can go back!

Room tip: Room 304!! See my pics and you'll agree. :)

Excellent in every respect. Perfectly hospitable, welcoming and friendly to young and old alike. They went out of their way to help us have a great family holiday. Excellent food and facilities, too. Would certainly love to stay again and again and again - as many evidently do.

My first stay here was for about five days and i wish i would've stayed longer. From the get go I felt welcomed - courteous staff that goes out of there way to make you feel a personal connection. My father and I decided to do the breakfast and dinner plan when we arrived and this proved to be one of the best investments. Each day we had some of the best food and the flexibility of when we wanted to eat. The large windows in the dining area look out on the mountains which makes the experience even better. I actually have my return trip already booked (June 2019) and will stay here again. If you have the chance i'd recommend staying on the fourth floor or higher in a mountain view room. It's worth it and the views are breathtaking.

Room tip: Try to get a higher level room (fourth floor up) and mountain view

We have been coming to the Beausite Park Hotel for many decades as a family and it holds a very special place in our lives and hearts. The Leemann family are immensely hospitable and work hard to keep this hotel running beautifully, year after year. The fact that their staff remains fairly constant in an industry where staff turnovers are high says a lot. And seeing those familiar faces every year adds to the sense of homecoming. The hotel is beautifully sited, overlooking the entire village and with amazing views to the surrounding mountains - do pay a little extra for a mountain view room.

We recently returned from our stay at the Beausite Park Hotel during a family trip to Wengen. Beausite Park exceeded even the lofty expectations we had from reading all of the reviews. We stayed in a deluxe room with mountain view and balcony which was the perfect size for our family of 4 and had everything we needed. The views from the balcony were stunning and the room was kept very clean. The spectacular setting of this hotel is equaled by how well they treat their guests. The owners were very gracious and personally checked in on us to make sure things were well, and also took the time to greet us and say goodbye at the end of the trip. The front desk was always friendly, professional, and extremely helpful with any questions/requests. The half board provided delicious meals every night with a good variety and fantastic service. Thank you to everyone at Beausite Park and we will certainly be staying with you again when we return to Wengen!
