Finaly allowed to travel after lockdown so decided on a stopover in Siena. We needed safe parking so decided on somewhere close but not in the centre. We called this hotel to ask if they would accept a dog and two cats and the unflappable host assured us it would be no problem. No extra cost. The property is set off the main road so is very quiet. The views from the lovely terrace and gardens are stunning. The rooms were perfect for us and I loved the quirky mix of antique, liberty and 60's vintage which is typical of properties which have been restored at different times by different owners. Everything was very clean, comfy mattresses and soft towels. Very good breakfast and lovely informative host Lorenzo. We walked back and forth from the hotel to Siena on both days and the walk is quite pleasant, about 20 minutes to Piazza del Campo but only 10 to the Porta Romana entrance to the city walls.
I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for something different from a chain hotel. I'm sure it will not disappoint!

Room tip: The ground floor rooms were ideal for our pets and if you want the car close by.

We stayed here for just one night, but would love to be there longer next time. If you like modern, bland hotels this is not for you. If you like tradition and character in spades then this hotel should be for you. We had a lovely large room with frescos on the walls and ceilings. The views are heavenly across the Tuscan hillside. Breakfast was good, and it was a pleasure to sit with a drink on the terrace admiring the view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Well located for the hills, or beautiful Siena.

Perfect for a family trip!
The view from the window was stunning! The breakfast was soooo tasty.. there’s something for everybody!

The terrace around the hotel is worth walking around, to relax, to enjoy the view..or to have a seat while taking a sip from a glass of wine! Giacomo’s hospitality was outstanding, he gave us so many tips and facts about Siena. If you ask him he will love telling you all about the beautiful city he lives in :)

Thank you, we will visit again!

My wife and I celebrated our 50th anniversary travelling through Italy.
Our favorite stay was at Hotel Palazzo di Valli.
Lorenzo and Giacomo have found their calling. They are gracious hosts in a charming Villa.
We wanted to explore so we wanted to have access to our car outside the restricted driving area of Sienna. Lorenzo and Giacomo gave us great tips of routes to see the best of the area.
While reminiscing on New Year's Eve Marian and I have both said, " of all the places we stayed our favorite was Hotel Palazzo di Valli"
Thank you Lorenzo and Giacomo

My husband and I recently spent a night at this charming hotel and were so glad we did -we only wish we could have stayed longer! We were greeted upon arrival by Lorenzo who was so friendly and helpful. He gave us a ton of great recommendations and explained how to get to and from the hotel and old town centre (it's an easy walk but there are buses as well if you want), Beyond Lorenzo's warm welcome, the hotel itself is charming and our room was comfortable and beautiful. We had a great stay here and would definitely stay again next time we're in the area!
