“A memorable experience and such a warm welcome”
Reviewed 28 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Donatella and Antonio were perfect hosts who made our first Tuscan experience as effortless as possible. Their villa is amazing and our apartment was extremely spacious and had all the amenities and comforts we needed. Although slightly off the beaten track, there is a bus and train station within walking distance and the centre of `Pisa and `Florence are 7mins and 1hr 10 mins away respectively by train. Antonio couldn't do enough for us - he picked us up from the airport and offered to drive us on most days; Donatella and Antonio speak good English, which was a real bonus for newbies learning the Italian language.
If you like solitude and don't mind driving or using public transport and want a base from which to explore this is an ideal place.

“An oasis of calm”

Spent several days here after a cycling holiday and what a relaxing, peaceful way to unwind. A lovely garden is anchored by three tremendous trees that seem to have personalities of their own! Nothing tops time spent in this lovely spot, whether sunbathing on a cool chaise longue with the adjustable sunscreen for your head, or reading at a table under the big tree. My husband and I toasted his 61st birthday with the bottle of complementary prosecco while the sunset streamed through the leaves of the tree: what's not to like! Donatella was kind enough to allow me to do a week's bike trip's worth of laundry for four people, which was definitely a boon. There's a piano in the apartment, and the a complete kitchen as well, both of which we put to good use. The acoustics are great: I would love to have experienced a concert there!

If you want to live in a Merchant Ivory movie (Room with a View anyone?) then this is it. A divine and atmospheric villa with soaring ceilings, ancient frescoes and marble stairways. Unspoilt and under restoraton.
Donatella and Antonio were so kind, picking us up from the airport and returning us and even driving us into Pisa one day.
The kitchen and bathrooms are new, clean and sparkling.
The location is a 15 minute walk from Navacchio station, which is a 7 minute train ride from Pisa. it is on the edge of the countryside in a quiet residential area.
Perfect for the three of us.
