We had a warm welcome from Michela who will help with everything you need to make your stay in Lucca a memorable one. The rooms are really beautifully decorated and you feel it is somewhere special. Would certainly recommend the Locanda Sant'Agostino as the place to stay in Lucca

We were 3 single guys and stayed here for two nights while on a cycling trip. The manager met us at the (large secure) door on the street, as the apartment is upstairs. But the rooms - OMG - just beautiful and retro design with lots of timber beams, pastel colours and beds were 4 posters. We each had our own room, and every (comfortable) amenity you could ask for. The breakfast was a delight on the rear vine covered balcony overlooking the remains of an old Roman theatre. Its simply gorgeous, with cafes and shops a short walk away.

Room Tip: The top room has great little baconies, but it is up a steep short set of stairs from the common room. Don't descend it in the dark!

This is an exceptional B&B! The location is within the walls, far enough from the crowds in central Lucca but close enough to walk to restaurants and attractions. The accommodations in this beautiful, restored villa are comfortable, elegant and welcoming. You feel like you've stepped back in time. Our hostess,Michaela, was incredibly helpful and friendly and her love of Lucca shines through everything she does. She had lots of recommendations and provided a elegantly set breakfast table with china and antique stemware. Her breakfast spread was the best we've had in Italy. Home baked pastries accompanied by meats, cheeses, eggs and breads. We hated to leave, and hope we will be back again. Can't imagine there's anyplace better in Lucca to stay.

Lovely big old style room. Really comfortable bed. Breakfast was superb on the beautiful terrace. Freshly baked items, meats, cheeses, eggs, cereals, and much more. Our host, Michaela, could not do enough for us and provided us with her number in case we needed anything while we explored Lucca.
I would highly recommend this location. Yes there are flights of stairs to negotiate but it is worth it. A charming location for a wonderful break.
If Michaela happens to have baked her apple cake for breakfast it is not to be missed.
Wonderful

This our second visit to Locanda Sant'Agostino and it is just as beautiful as it was the first time. The rooms are spacious and airy and have air conditioning. The location is in the heart of charming Lucca and is a great home base to explore the area.
The hosts made our stay most enjoyable. The breakfast we had each morning, had freshly baked items, meats, cheeses, eggs, cereals, and much more, and was served on their beautiful terrace. They are always available to answer any questions or give suggestions.
I highly recommend this place if you want beautiful accommodations, wonderful hosts and a great location!
