For our last night in Italy before departing from Florence back to the US we decided we wanted to stay in Fiesole. We were told about Villa dei Bosconi and it didn't disappoint. The rooms are basic but clean. The views are great and it is close to the town of Fiesole where you can have dinner overlooking Florence and watch the sun set by the monastery.

Room Tip: Best rooms walk out to the pool

this is a beautiful clean place and also a great breakfast. the lady who is from Belgium and actually all the staff were great. They made us a toast because it was Sun afternoon with no close restaurants or grocery stores. You really have to have a car, the bus stops are near the won't even stop unless you wave your hands. Hats off to the staff

Room Tip: ask for a good view we looked out to the swimming pool

Attended a family wedding in Fiesole in June and stayed at Villa dei Bosconi for 2 nights. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfast had a good variety and we had a lovely room on the ground floor that opened out straight onto the swimming pool area which was stunning. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning on my next trip.

I arrived at Villa Bosconi after 2 nights in a very lacking hotel in Florence.
What a difference. Villa Bosconi is run by a "team", someone is always on hand to help you whether it is providing a bus ticket, calling a cab or giving advice.
The room and bath were clean and well supplied. The buffet breakfast more American than European in all that if offered. The pool as lovely as it looks in the picture.
Such a beautiful location and Fiesole such a relief after the busyness of Florence.
Best to stay in the Fiesole area and take the bus which runs often into Florence.
One caveat. You do need a car as the little bus that goes into Fiesole from the villa area runs infrequently.

Room Tip: When you register ask for a room on the pool side.

At first sight it looks pretty and the pool is a welcome facility after a long hot day. The room was private , comfortable and clean - more than adequate for our needs. The staff are all helpful and helped us to book taxis and a restaurant. The young chap who cleaned our room each day was charming. Sad to say that the breakfast is the most spartan we've ever had anywhere in Italy - it really was a joyless experience. But I also should mention that you're completely stuffed if you don't have a car. It's a 20 minutes steep walk in and out of town and when you do reach Fiesole, there really isn't much there at all. A very limited bus service and no taxis to hand mean you will struggle to go anywhere. We took the local buses into Florence whenever we could as a means of escaping the sheer tedium of the place. Although there's nothing badly wrong with the hotel, we'd never go again without a car and, pretty though it is, I'm not sure Fiesole is a town I'd ever want to return to.
