Overall the apartment was in a very excellent location within walking distance to all of the best
major attractions in Florence. It was clean and spacious
However we did have some issues the apartment it's a little bit noisy from the street,
As we like to cook in occasionally the supply of cookware needs to be replaced totally.
The dryer did not work and the shower drain was clogged. Finally, the first entry into the apartment one is greeted by stained carpeting which needs to be cleaned or replaced
If these things don't bother you then the apartment is a great place to be.
This place was absolutely wonderful. The location was in the heart of old Florence right down the street from the Uffizi Art Gallery and the main square one way and Santa Croce the other. Really in the heart of everything. And the apartment was perfect - well furnished, air-conditioned (you can't take that for granted in Europe) and clean - and the kitchen was nicely stocked with cooking utensils.
The owner was wonderful to work with as well. After showing us everything in the apartment (which included a washer), he sat with us for at least 30 minutes and showed us some necessary points of interest.
Literally it was probably the favorite apartment I stayed in during my 3 weeks in Europe. Would recommend and stay in again with no second thoughts.
ONE NOTE: The other residents like people who are quiet in the morning and at night so if you have young children that are loud (mine were when younger) you might feel a little self conscious. Also, as previously stated in another review, it is up 4 flights of steps so if you can't do steps, this place is not for you. But I was happy to walk them given what we got.
My wife and two adult children spent four nights at the apartment. It was well furnished. We had intended to cook thanksgiving dinner in the apartment but the restaurant in the building did thanksgiving diner so we only eat breakfast in the apartment.
Everything worked fine. The bedrooms were large, the bathrooms were very nice overall there isn't a bad thing to say.
You do need to climb four flights of stairs so you need to be in ok shape. That was tough after spending hours walking around Florence but it gave us an extra excuse to have gelato.
