We enjoyed our stay in this quaint and fully equipped appartment. Every thing that you could need was there available and only a short walk to the supermarket and some very nice shops. A good but enjoyable walk to the main train station. Other than the mosquitos, the stay was enjoyable and we would be happy to recommend this appartment to anyone.

The Apartment is a typical subdivision of a larger Florence home. It had everything we needed, WiFi, first floor (ground floor in Italian), easy to walk to shops and local eateries, a local supermarket with reasonable prices, and the most important access to Florence by bus. You can take the #2 or #14 to Santa Maria Novella and hop on a minibus into the heart of Florence or walk. Figure kids under ten will need to take the bus it is a nice downhill walk, 20 to thirty minutes.
The owner left us some fruit juices for us, we don't drink. Yes, an Irish-Italian who does not drink... The place was clean and efficient. We had some trouble with the dishwasher it decided to stop working, no water. The stove and stove top worked great. The gas was easily turned on and off nearby, important if you have small kids. All appliances were clean.
Italians prefer to use small appliances an small showers. Be prepared for two washes for every one and wait four times as long for them to finish. That is the norm and not a gripe. My six foot four and large frame was able to shower once I realized the shower head came off. The bathroom is newish and well kept.
The apartment is closer to Carreggi a hospital than Florence center proper. But the buses run every 10-20 minutes depending upon the day. Most nights they quit running at around midnight except Sundays and Holidays. So keep an eye out. The ride from the airport is quick and did not incur any extra fees for going into historic Florence.
Great place to stay if the weather is warmer as there is a small garden and enclosed veranda. It was quiet, which for Florence and small kids is a big deal. Drunk tourists and local nightlife are not nearby. At least we did not hear them.
I would have marked this very good if the proprietor had called a service man to fix the dishwasher or helped us to get it to work. As my wife says, it is not a vacation if I have to cook and clean... Thus dishwashers are important, Happy wife happy life. Yes, we both did the dishes.
For a quiet out of the way getaway on the outskirts of Florence you will enjoy this Apartment. The Satellite TV was a real nice touch as some shows could be un-dubbed back into English or American.
Loved this place! Updated ground floor flat in the rear of a building, so secure and quiet. Very easy access to central Florence by bus, which stops right around the corner and arrives every 15 minutes. The Piazza Dalmatzia area has cafes, bars, restaurants, and a regular outdoor market. Not far from a coop for groceries. If you are tall, note that the loft with the large bed has a low ceiling. It was cozy and great for a good nights rest.
