My husband and I stayed here in Florence for four nights. This location was spectacular! It is centrally located: you are about one minute away from Pallazo Vecchio & Piazza Signoria, and just a few minutes from the Ufizzi & Ponte Vecchio, or the Duomo. There are probably hundreds of shops and restaurants near by. Because it's so close to everything, I would recommend a pair of ear plugs for sleeping. We heard the occasional night time serenade from someone enjoying a lot of wine and Florence cleans the streets every night with street-sweepers that are not quiet. Once I found ear plugs, this was not a problem.
The apartment itself confirms that I wish I could move to Italy. From the wood beamed ceiling, the terra-cotta flooring, or the wooden storm shudders, the flat is charming and romantic! While it is located on the 3rd floor and that can be a trek after a long day of walking and sightseeing, the stair case is one of my favorite parts of the apartment building. It's exposed stone near the windows reminds of the age and history of the area. The flat is equipped with a washer, but no automatic dryer. It does have a clothes drying wrack, however. The kitchen has plenty of room and amenities to cook and clean with. It also has a safe for valuables that you don't want to leave lying around. The bathroom also has the necessary towels and hair dryer. I think they had some toiletries to use, too, but not a whole lot. The bed was fairly comfortable, too.
