Our tour of the Uffizi museum in Florence, Italy was led by Irina Emchenko, a Florence city guide, whose English language skills were wonderful. While I tend to lose interest when I take museum tours, Irina kept us moving along with interesting commentary and facts about the artwork, the museum, the Medici family and the artists. Normally, I prefer to go on my own but my wife and I are very glad we chose this particular tour and stuck with it. Our tour lasted about two hours but might have stretched a little longer if the museum was not closing for the day. The gallery itself is very impressive with paintings and sculptures by Boticelli, da Vinci and other famous artists.
One of the things I liked about Irina's tour was that she took is through galleries century by century explaining how art styles changed over time.
I also appreciated her ability to keep the group together, especially me as I tend to wander off. When visiting Florence the Uffizi is a must tour. Irina can be reached at +39-393-4360387 and at firstname.lastname@example.orgMore
