Got off the coach from the airport , crossed the road , headed down via Roma for 5 minutes and arrived at the hotel. Nice place on the second floor . First night and Palermo lived up to its reputation as "the noisiest city in Italy " .asked to change rooms the next day ,not a problem new room was at the end of s corridor , 32 I think , smaller but much better.
Rented a car through the hotel very obliging and no extra cost .breakfast was good . Good value and comfatable but better still is the location close to the bus for the airport and so close to town

We stayed 3 nights on the start of our tour around Sicily. It is on Via Roma, Very busy street. Hotel is on the second floor - this building hosts a couple of hotels and business. Good reception staff. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived and they held our bags for us. They also organised a transfer from the Airport for €45. It saved a lot of hassle getting public transport and at least you know what you have to pay before. Palermo itself is a very interesting. Loud and lively city. Our room was well equipped with towels and toiletries. Hairdryer too and TV. We had a room with 2 very small balcony's with a small table and chair on one. Very small but serves its purpose. Breakfast is a good one with cheese meat and pastries. Cereals and fruit. Coffee made on request. Very substantial. Good directions from the hotel for where you want to visit and they also sell tour bus tickets which is handy. I wouldn't recommend it for families with babies as the noise level is high. Its in a built up area and locals living very close by can be heard very easily. Traffic noise is loud too but all this adds to the nature of a big city. Plenty of markets nearby and you can find them in the tour books. Lots of up market shops and stores if you fancy and have a few euro to spend. Lots of restaurants and bars too. A few local "Pop Up" bars too. Lots of trendy music and cocktail bars and student bars too. I would certainly recommend Hotel Del Cento for a good base to visit all the city has to offer - which is lots. Walking distance from the bus and train station and to most of the sights. Loved it

The staff was congenial and helpful. I was there for one night during a heat wave. I think the breakfast area should be air conditioned and certain foods placed on ice. The room was cool, quiet, and comfortable; the curtains needed freshening up. The clean bathroom was roomy with excellent shower and toilet facilities. The vintage architecture inside the hotel as a whole is elegant.

We stayed here in May 2015. The location is very central. Great walking distance to many great restaurants, shops and sites. We had a car and access to parking was convenient and well organized considering it isn't directly at the hotel. The elevator takes a bit of time with 4 people and bags. The front desk staff were very helpful and the breakfast area was charming with a good selection. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Room Tip: If you need Wifi, ask to be closer to the front desk area.

My friend and I visited Palermo on August 16 for 5 nights staying at this hotel. First impressions on entering the hotel were good, very quaint reception, something out of Agatha Christies Poirot it reminded us of! When entering the hotel on the 2nd floor, Michael on reception was very welcoming and spoke good English. He told us all the places of interest to visit while there, which was good. Then he took us to our room, along a gloomy corridor, into an even gloomier room. He made a quick exit and then we realised why! Went onto our balcony and it was horrendous. The wooden shutter doors were all flaking, the balcony was dirty, the wrought iron railings were rusty with a flower trough attached with no flowers just cigarette ends and some sort of stone. The view was dismal! We overlooked a balcony with rubbish strewn over a washing machine, underneath was an alley/back yard with rubble/rubbish strewn over it and really we were just looking at a grey dismal building! It didn't get any better because we realised our room was sandwiched between the laundry/ cleaners room and the utility room, where most mornings we were woken up at 5.30-6am with the clattering and washing up of tins/crockery, ready for breakfast service, so if you wanted to sleep in you had no chance! The reception held many posters/leaflets about excursions but the staff were not at all helpful in helping book or even sort them out, sometimes even putting you off doing the excursions! One of the reception staff could not be bothered to sort anything of any matter and would always say to come back and see another colleague later! Palermo a lovely, historic city but do some research on hotel you want to stay in as would not recommend this one!!!
