The room was big and comfortable, so was the bathroom. Breakfast was o.k.
The shuttle service from and to the airport was very good. We had a problem with our flight and had to be in the airport more than once and it helped very much.

The surrounding neighborhood is grim and unattractive, the breakfast features mostly packaged food items, and it's not all that easy to get into the city center for some sightseeing. However, if you are looking for a night of good sleep on a comfy bed, a hot shower, plenty of space to reorganize and pack your suitcases, this hotel is the one for you! Quadruple rooms are spacious, and the shower/toilet area is separate from the vanity, which is great for multiple occupants. However, the frosty glass bathroom door may make those sharing room with non-family members self-conscious and uncomfortable.

Room tip: some rooms feature view of Mt Etna (along with that of the ugly suburban area around the airport)

Flight into Catania arrived late in the evening so rather than pay for an extra day car hire we checked into this hotel and picked up the car early the next morning.

Staff were delightful at both reception and in the bar where we had a bottle of prosecco before bed. The rooms were very large, clean, well presented with excellent large bathrooms. Breakfast was pleasant.

My only criticism is the vagueness about the hotel airport shuttle which appears to be rather random.

Had a good nights sleep which is the most important thing.

The airport hotel was perfect for an early morning flight. Our room was spacious, beds comfortable, and the bathrooms were very nice. The staff was friendly and effiecient. We arrived early enough to cab into the city centro for exploring, shopping, and dinner. Returned for a Limoncello on the patio from a great bartender. We did not have a meal at the hotel but read later how good it is. Next time!

We chose this because of its proximity to the airport (5 minutes) and the free shuttle. The shuttle arrived after 45 minutes and 3 phone calls. We were early so room not ready. Unfortunately the hotel is in the middle of nowhere so to go anywhere else is a taxi or bus ride. When we were able to check in and went to our room it hadn't been serviced from the night before. So they gave us a room that was ready (communication?). The rooms and bathroom are huge although oddly the shower recess was tiny for such a large bathroom.
Dinner was a comedy of errors...just like Fawlty Towers. The head waiter seemed to think he was doing diners a favour by serving them....quite condescending in fact.
When seated we received the only good part of the meal, the bread. However I had to ask for oil, no butter provided. When I signalled the server I was told "wait" although he appeared not to be doing anything. Tthen when he came he just asked "oil?". Looking around, it appeared those who hadn't specifically asked for oil didn't get it.
Ordinary, limited menu, terrible food. We had spaghetti and salad. Both tasteless and ordinary, probably one of the worst restaurant meals I have had. There was white vinegar on the table and when we requested balsamic vinegar, it was a real Basil Fawlty moment..."you want what?...balsamic?!" Service generally was chaotic.
Breakfast was much better, the standard hot buffet. However there were only floral teabags available, they'd run out of all the others.
I'd like to rate this as 4 stars because of the hotel, but the restaurant severely lets it down. And because of location there is nowhere else to go.
We were planning to stay here again at the end of our trip but will now book elsewhere.
