Spent the day on this island in October had a lovely time restaurant on the beach & drinks bar if needed. Great for a day out for the family. Awesome view with sheer sides to this Island, beaches white and clean. Includes a boat trip that goes back and forth so reagular and you can stay as long or little depending on your needs.

A kilometre wide, 4 kilometres long, and 564 metres high, the Isola Tavolara dominates the local landscape looking just like a real life Thunderbird’s Tracey Island. The eastern side of the island is a military zone with no access to the public, but there’s free access to the western side, complete with a restaurant, cafe and even a cemetery. There are some lovely walks, sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. In October, the island was quiet and felt very peaceful.

The ferry from Porto San Paolo takes about 20 minutes and costs €16.

This place is breathtaking from the moment you step off the boat onto the quaint jetty you're awe struck by its gigantic presence. Take a walk along the beach and sand dunes to take in the full panoramic view of the adjacent coast line and islands. The clear gin hued waters are perfect for an afternoon dip after light lunch at one of the restaurants.

Took the bus from the airport of olbia to Porto San Paolo and paid €2.90 for one way (usually is €1.90 if you buy it in advance). Arrived at porto san paolo and walked about 10-15 minutes to reach the harbour. Once arrived I purchased my return ferry ticket €16 to go to Tavolara. The ferry called Invincible took us to the island in about 30 minutes. This is one of the best beaches I've ever been in my life! Not busy, beautiful surroundings, clean and stunning water and offers loads of outdoors activities or you can simply sunbathe. I decided to sunbathe and then go for a nice walk exploring other bits of the island. I really enjoyed it and i recommend it to everyone! The ferry on the way back (which you decide at what time you wanna take it, you have no restrictions) it was also faster and we were back at the harbour in 20 minutes.

One of the highlights that you should not miss. The marine life is rich, the mussels farms are interesting and the cruise is serene.
