We popped in and was really looking forward to the Roman items but loved the small bronze age items as well.
It is quite big inside. Well worth the money.
Layout a bit confusing though.

There is a small group of museums here; this is the one to go to - especially if you really want to find out about Sardinia. There are some amazing artifacts, most especially the small bronzetti from the Nuraghic civilisation that was here before the Phoenicians arrived (and there is still plenty of Nuraghe DNA in the locals).
There's also a horde of Roman bits and pieces, although the museum is a work in progress and not all of this section has information in English.

It was a rainy Sunday afternoon in Cagliari, so we decided to visit the Archeological Museum. Most of the museums are free on Sunday. The information on the exhibits were presented in Italian and English, and we enjoyed the layout and information there. The history of the region is fascinating and the artifacts in this collection were as well.
It's definitely worth a visit!

Stopped as part of a tour. We were surprised at the amount of artifacts on display and how old some of them were. From Stone Age to Bronze Age to Roman times. All well laid out in displays and info cards. Could have spent more time there.
