Very nice little restaurant, moderate prices and very kind staff. Sea food pasta and tuna were delicious.

We had a lovely diner at this little restaurant. It was rather busy when we were there and the staff had to work very hard, but we felt at home and the staff was very friendly. Diner was of a good quality, we liked the tasting starter a lot and the pasta with octopus inkt is a Sardinian classic. The prices are not very high, especially not for the quality of the food.
Food tasted authentic, and there was a lot of native Sardinians around to support that claim. The appetisers were really well composed, and main dishes (we ordered pastas) were satisfactory.
My only gripe with their food was the fact that the seafood seemed a bit too rubbery for my taste.
The service was so-so, no problem with speaking English, but seemed to have a bad day when we were visiting.
Me and my wife had a dinner in IL Fana. It was suggested by our home host. It was very local and delicious food. Antipasti was incredible good. Service, despite the ruff English, was always accompanied with a smile, that makes all the difference. It isn't a fancy place but don't get your judgment be betrayed by it. You go for the food :)
The only disappointment (and this is why I don't give a 5. It really disappointed) was the desert. Nonetheless, do not hesitate to go.
If you like fresh seafood and fish prepared in a traditional Sardinian way and if you like a competent and very very friendly host in a nice and warm ambience with no frills then that's your place!
Every plate I got was excellent, "Smoked Swordfish with Figs", "Polpette di Orata al Limone", and "Razza alla Catalana" were some of the Antipasti highlights. The "Linguine all'Astice" were perfectly "all dente" with a "freschissima" lobster. The second main course was a very fresh and perfectly prepared seabream with tomatos and saffron. Finally there was a great mix of "Dolci" with an outstanding "Spuma gelata al Limone". Highly recommended, a great place. Complimenti!!!
