The pictures of the hotel may look impressive, but it is located at the end of a huge public beach. Water tends to be extremely cold, when in other parts of Sardinia is warm. Beach is average compared to other beaches in Sardinia.
Reception staff of the hotel very unfriendly, not at all helpful or efficient.
Sunbeds are assigned upon arrival, so the last person arriving gets the worst sunbed. They are all numbered. When I arrived half of the sunbeds were empty but as they are reserved you cannot use them. There were only three available. You may be could change if somebody departed. The average age of the guests is rather high. Don't expect too many young people.
Breakfast was poor, the only good thing was that you could have it on the terrace outside.
Rooms rather small, but modern. Extremely small balconies, the width of a chair, not more. bathroom smelly from the sewage system.
Beach towels are only against charge.
Ample parking facilities.
Price exaggerated for the service level and quality of hotel.
Having been on the second floor, the smoke from the neighbour below was coming into the room, so instead of the nice smell of the "pini" I got the smell of the cigarettes of the old chain smokers.

Only one single lift, smelly and dirty with people coming wet from the beach and bringing tons of sand in it.

Room tip: Second floor sea side, from number 40 up,

We had a great stay at Hotel Dei Pini. Our partents stayed in the Suite, a huge room with a big balcony. The kids stayed in a view with direct access to the beach. Both rooms were greats, however they were both not accessible. (The hotel does offer accessible rooms though!). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet needs a special mentioning.
The only thing that wasn't perfect was the missing attention to details. Like replacing some of the towels etc.
Over all we really liked the hotel though!

Last year I stayed in about 43 hotels (yes, I'm too lazy to write reviews most of the time) including this one. And what a great place to stay it was.

Friendly reception, super helpful staff, great food, and a lovely location. And did I mention friendly and helpful staff? I'll definitely be going back there this year when I'm in Alghero again and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Great room, superior triple, with a view on the sea and exit from the room directly on the sea.
Sea was a little colder then we are used to for July but for the warm weather was a good cooling down.
Food excellent, but some time takes servitors a long time until you get served. We had a few mixed courses but in general very nice experience.
Full Board not including drinks was strange

Overall hotel to recommend.

Really a hotel and area to recommend. Fantastic private and spacey snowwhite beach with private sunbeds for all. Great breakfast. Even an old hotel everything is in order, spotless and good looking, nothing broken or damaged. Spacey and newer crowded as number of rooms are low. Enjoyable.
