We called in on the off chance and were lucky to get a table. Great little place, lovely food and good priced cocktails! I would definitely recommend a visit - make sure you book a table as it gets very busy!

This was our first taste of Algherese/Catalan cuisine. It is a blend of local foods with Catalonian spices and methods. This part of Sardinia was conquered by Spain in the 1340’s. The culture still has a pronounced Spanish feel, and so does the food.

The mussels have all been great in Sardinia so we started with them. We followed that with a local pasta – ravioli stuffed with potatoes, pecorino cheese, and mint; in a basil tomato sauce. The kitchen split it for us.

For entrees we ordered the Grilled Tuna which was quite large, and the Curly Octopus in a spicy pepper, olive and tomato sauce. Both were very good.

We had grilled vegetables as our side.

Service was excellent.

The wine list was reasonably priced with a good selection of local wines.

This place is popular, and small, so reservations are a must. We called about a week ahead to make ours.

This is lovely little restaurant opposite the promenade on the dual carriageway strip in to the walled town of Alghero. The staff are genuinely lovely, they have a wine list with great options at reasonable prices and their Mojito at €5 was knockout. I expected more from my Mussels Marinara but maybe its simplicity is its value. My Tuna with Pistachio crust was lovely and the chips and grilled veg were good choices to accompany. My wife’s steak was very ordinary. After 2 weeks of mainly seafood she fancied more turf than surf and whilst it was not bad, it should have been better. The desserts were great, a perfect Catalan cream and a lovely take on the tiramisu. This is a great place for ambiance, value and staff but choose fish and be adventurous in your selections, catch of the day (Dorada) looked great. I’m not sure what it would be like on a summer’s evening with peak season traffic queued outside.

We stopped for the late dinner and were really amazed how hospitable and superfriendly the young staff was. We wanted to try some local - traditional food and they were helpfull with their suggestions. We shared a starter - tradicional ‘gattuccio in agliata’ and continued with two second dishes - tipical ravioli with butter, sage and goat cheese plus tipical pasta (maloredus) with rocket and squid pesto. We finished our dinner with seadas and digestivo - limoncello. All was extra-delicious. Spent 50 Euros with half liter of house wine and a bottle of still water included. When next time in Alghero, we’ll be back definitely.

Visited on recommendation of our B&B host and really pleased we did. The service is really friendly & welcoming. The food is fresh & delicious. We went on two consecutive nights and both were equally good. Vermentino house white was a winner. Hope to return to both Sardinia & Enhorabona.
