The Leoni Montanari is an interesting museum located in a quiet side street in central Vicenza. Just by chance, I went in a special day, when all the museums in town were open at night, which was a nice experience. The building is as atractive as its contents. Although its neo-classical façade looks a bit discreet, there is a lot of points of interest indoors: a beautiful patio, huge rooms with high ceilings, stucco decor, paintings, being the general style openly baroque. The contents are interesting too, as they are quite varied, combining Italian paintings, Greek ceramics, a vast collection of Russian icones...so its variety plus the fact of not being one of those tiring endless big museums makes Leoni Montanari a interesting visit.
