“Excellent location, can walk everywhere easily”
Reviewed 5 November 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Verona is very compact and easy to walk around and see all the sights- fabulous place. The apartment is true to it's description, very central and in impressive building.
Basic but comfortable for two, could be a squeeze for more could perhaps benefit from sofa, does have road noise in the morning but gets you up to sight see! TV only italian channels . Problem with wifi while we were there but Marco resolved with mobile wifi for us. Very helpful owner.
Would stay here again, great spot and place to visit

“Two weeks in Verona”

The Leoncino apartment is exactly as advertised–clean and located in the historic city center. What makes it especially appealing? The building is an historic palazzo; the courtyard has frescoes, columns, and other wonderful architectural features; everything about the space is a surprise. The apartment includes fast internet connections, dishwasher, washing machine, ceiling fans, and some air-conditioning (in the living/kitchen areas). Two living room chairs convert to twin beds for additional sleeping needs . It was tastefully decorated in a traditional manner, spacious, and clean. The apartment has two levels (lower entry/office area and an upper living/kitchen/bath/bedroom area). Charming narrow historic stairs make moving large pieces of luggage a challenge. (We left big suitcase downstairs.) There are two large supermarkets–PAM and EuroSpar– which are about a 15 minute walk (area beyond the arena/(amphitheater). Ask at tourist information for details.

Much of the touristic city center has become a pedestrian zone due to the many narrow historic streets, so expect to hear the bustle of people and cars during the day. It’s quiet at night. You can walk just about everywhere in the center from the apartment. Public buses to numerous places, including the rail station, stop within a 2 minute walk. Marco, the owner, is very organized and responsive. It was delightful to meet him. This Verona apartment is wonderful for a short stay to experience life in a Renaissance city. There is something new to discover around every corner.

The TripAdvisor reservation was incredibly easy and efficient from the start.

“Out trip to Northern Italy”

Very central location, the flat is as described, clean and comfortable, especially the bed, which was a welcome surprise.
Would recommend buying a 3 day Verona Card, which gets you into most museums and includes transport in the city.
Suggestions would include the Arena, but also the Museo Africano, a modern museum with very friendly staff, and located near the Teatro Romano and Castel San Pietro, a climb but worth it for the views of Verona. If archaeology is your passion, be aware that the Archaeology Museum is closed for renovation, but you can still visit the Teatro Romano, the Arena and the excavations at the Scavi Scaligero in the Centro Internationale di Fotografia, which is wonderfully laid out in the basement of the building.
Also, Verona is located near to Venice, the Lakes (Desenzano) and Bolzano, all easy train journeys and cheap if you use the Regionale trains. (Look for timetables and prices on Trenitalia web).
All in all, Verona makes a decent base to explore other areas, but equally, there is plenty to discover in Verona too.

“Our family had a wonderful stay in Leoncino and beautiful Verona”

The Leoncino Apartment suited perfectly our family stay in beautiful Verona. The apartment is so close to the Arena, cafes, restaurants and great city centre shopping.
The trip from the station by taxi was 8-10 euro or an interesting 35 minute walk. A bus is also nearby. There is also a large modern 'PAM' supermarket 10 minutes walk from the apartment.
The apartment was well equipped and the size suited our family (2 adults plus 11 and 10 year olds). The downstairs entry area had a desk giving the kids their space. The living area upstairs was very good for a one bedroom apartment. The building is interesting and has beautiful character.
All communication was very good and checking in was easy.
We really enjoyed Verona and are very pleased that we chose to stay at the Leoncino apartment.
