We live in Florence and went to Venice for the weekend. We wanted to stay somewhere quiet and comfortable with easy access to Venice, and this place met our needs really well.
The apartment is in a modern building in a residential area with some businesses in the same compound. The location is not charming or picturesque, but it was very quiet so we had no problems with noise and were able to sleep very well.
It was about a 10 minute walk to Mogliano-Veneto station, so quite convenient for catching the train to Venice (20-25 min depending on which train you catch). We found that the trains ran at very odd intervals - sometimes every 15 or 30 minutes, sometimes an hour apart - so you need to plan your travel well to make the most of the time you have.
There are also a number of supermarkets (De Spar, EuroSpin, and another one) within a 5-10 minute walk of the apartment.
Monica, the host, was very hospitable and pleasant to deal with, and speaks excellent English. She was always quick to reply to messages through TripAdvisor and, later, SMS. She met us at the station when we arrived and waited for us while we bought some supplies at the supermarket next to the station. She showed us around the apartment, explained how everything worked, and gave us advice on trains, restaurants, etc. When she noticed a converter plug missing from one of the appliances, she went away to get one and was back within a few minutes. She arranged for us to have our suitcase stored securely in the building while we went to Venice on the Sunday morning, and we were able to pick it up with no trouble in time to catch our train back to Florence.
The apartment is quite spacious for a one-bedroom place. It’s always nice if there is enough space in the bedroom to have your suitcase open on the floor without blocking the walkway! The shower was the only thing that wasn’t spacious - probably the smallest shower cabinet I’ve ever been in, but not a major problem. The bed was warm and cosy but the mattress was not the best - the kind where you can feel the springs through the padding. Still, we slept well so again it was not a major problem.
We cooked for ourselves the first night and found most things we needed in the kitchen. I noted to Monica on the feedback form that there was no utensil for turning things over in the frying pan, and I’m sure she will see to that in due course. The kitchen had oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, coffee, tea and sugar, as well as some bottled water and breakfast supplies (the usual Italian pastries).
This was a great value apartment, a really good experience, and we would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

We have stayed in Monica’s apartment for two nights. It was a very nice stay. The apartment is spacious enough to sleep four. The kitchen is in the living room with everything you need. Bathroom is clean and quite big. It took us around 7 to 10 mins walk (around 6-700 meters) to reach the close by train station ( Mogliano Vento), which brings us to Venice in less than 30 mins (Single trip for 2.5 EUR).
The apartment is well equipped to ensure a comfort stay, but what made us love the place even more is Monica’s hospitality. We have to say that she is the most considerate host we have ever met so far. In the apartment you can find all kind of information you need (and maybe have forgotten to search before you left home), for example, a printed Google map of how to get to the train station, close by supermarkets and most importantly, train schedule to and from Venice! There are several folders with brief information of Venice and close by tourist must-go. These extra info really have raised our interest to the city.
