Hotel Bisanzio was a great find -- located off a quiet street near St. Mark's Square, it's the perfect location for anyone looking to be near all the action, but also close to the more "local" area of the Castello district. We walked everywhere, and the hotel staff was very accommodating in making recommendations and answering any questions we had. They also serve an amazing breakfast spread (included in the price of the hotel!) -- eggs, bacon, cheeses, meats, donuts, croissants, oatmeal, yogurt, coffees, juices... they had it all! Perfect to fill up and then go out and get lost in the canals all day. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special stay in Venice.

Loved this hotel. Modernised but full of historical character, friendly, helpful staff, most of whom spoke several languages and put up with our attempts at Italian. Huge choice available for breakfast! Within walking distance of vaporetto stops along the Riva degli Schiavoni and close, but not too close, to San Marco. Castello is a great area and not as madly busy as San Marco, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, intriguing little courtyards and fascinating shops. Really enjoyed our stay here!

Room tip: First floor might be better in high water season

This is a wonderful hotel, terrific location, easy to find off the grand canal, but quiet, and you can take a wander off the beaten path. It is close to San Marco and the S. Zacharia vaporreto stop. Super handy for getting around. The rooms are quite spacious, and the bed is super comfortable. We stayed in the new wing, and loved it. Nice new bathroom too. Breakfast was included with our room, and was delicious! Lots of options, great cappuccino, couldn’t ask for more. Would definitely stay here the next time we are in Venice.

A boutique hotel with a great location right near all the famous points of interest. The hotel is not necessarily easy to find, but I part that’s due to to sidewalk network in Venice. Once you find the hotel you’re fine. The rooms are fairly basic, but clean. I would have preferred a bit more modern shower facilities, but that is my personal preference. The staff were friendly, but limited front desk service after 7 pm as only one person on shift at that time. Not a five star hotel, but a decent choice in a pricey neighborhood.

Easy check in, the room was ready at my early arrival. Charming room, high ceilings made the room very roomy. Walking distance to everything. Literally a few steps away from water taxis. Loved my stay.
