This bar was just down the street from our apartment, so we popped in for pre-dinner drinks during our stay in Venice. It had looked very popular during the day, with the tables outside bustling with people - however when we visited it was pouring with rain, so all patrons were hiding indoors instead!

We had a couple of glasses of white wine, paying about average prices for Venice. Nothing took our fancy on the menu (and food prices were a little on the steep side).

The bar has great vibes, with excellent selection of music playing (we discovered a new Techno-swing band during our visit!) We sat in the window and people-watched the streets outside. Staff were super friendly, bar service was fairly prompt despite it being a busy Saturday night.

Sit, order a spritz and a sampling of cicheti (made to order) and watch the world go by...a nice stop with fun waitstaff.
My man ordered a ham sandwich and was not disappointed. 3 drinks , 2 lunches 30€ worked for us!!

Nice little place. Staff is nice. Good selection of wine starting from 3.5€ for a glass.
They have Italian tapas (sorry can't remember the name). You can order selection for ap 8€ for one person.
Unfortunately i ordered gnocchi in awful meat sauce which was sweet - definitely the worst food i had in italy so far.

This was a very disappointing trip. We walked past on our first night in Venice and saw this little bar bustling with people and life - so we thought we would remember it and come back. It was our last night and we decided to go along grab a light sharing plate and some wine before heading home.

First the service was dreadful and a bit strange... we were ignored by most staff except someone we assumed was the owner. He was odd. Made a couple of rude remarks to the table next to us including telling the man he has a small penis!!!! All quite bizarre. He then proceeded to be just as awkward and weird with us.

Also despite it being a wine bar the menu has no wine on and we were told there wasn’t a wine list. We were sat outside so just had to rely on the waiter bringing us something nice. The wine was actually pleasant and not too expensive for the centre of Venice.

We ordered a meat and cheese plate. Clearly marked as 20 euros. We wanted to share this and that was made clear. The plate was ok but didn’t seem very fresh and the Parma ham was dry. It filled a spot though.

The mediocre and bizarre service with occasional rude comments continued. It was clear the waiter had lots of mates there and was prioritising them. We love places the locals go and the locals definitely go here but it is the only place in Italy we have ever felt unwelcome. We love the Italian people, food, drink and culture but foreigners were clearly not wanted here.

To top off an awful last evening the sharing plate was 40 euros !!! We were shocked As we only ordered one. A bit of meet and cheese, and two wines cost 62 euros. We have eaten at much nicer restaurants nearby and many have sharing plates but specify a cost per person where you share - these were all less than this place and better quality.

In summary this place is unwelcoming, expensive (even for Venice and for what you get) with terrible service and mediocre food. Walk on by and find a nicer place to eat or drink.

When the serving staff firstly ignore you for 10 minutes and talk to their friends, then as you make your mind up to leave and try somewhere else , the waiter decides to ask you what you want in a tone that could only be described as disinterested you know it’s not going to be the best experience. However it was late and we were hungry so we decided to eat . Firstly we ordered a couple of drinks and some water . The drinks arrived but the water didn’t . When we tried to get the waiters attention we were treated to “ what ? “ .
When the food actually came it was average.
Manners cost nothing ... avoid this place, it’s definitely not worth stopping ... walk to one of the many great places to eat close by .
