We spent 3 nights at the Hotel Canal Grande prior to getting on a cruise ship. Upon arrival by water taxi, we were met at the dock by the hotel staff who collected our luggage! We checked in and were offered an upgrade to a Suite, overlooking the canal! The room was amazing and included a bedroom and private sitting room. The suite was the Canaletto Suite and I would highly recommend upgrading to this suite! There was a delicious breakfast buffet each morning, which was included with the room. The location on the canal is perfect and away from the crowded area around the Rialto bridge and square. All of the staff were so nice and willing to go above and beyond with whatever was needed. I would highly recommend this wonderful boutique hotel!

A lovely hotel of character on the Grand Canal. Views of canal, churches, palaces and bridge -all the ingredients. Beautiful rooms and s great breakfast. Very helpful staff. This was everything we expected of a traditional Venice holiday.

Room Tip: Stay in the main building on the canal. Rooms all have great character.

This is a delightful hotel, with extremely friendly staff, set directly on the grand canal. The location is quite far from San Marco but, fo us, this was a plus because it meant it was a lot quieter. Also it was still really easy to get to the main sites, either by water taxi/vaparetto or - even more fun - wandering the back streets of Venice. We stayed in the Rialto room which is in an annex of the main hotel, very well furnished and comfortable. The breakfast was good - buffet-style continental and a few cooked options - although not exceptional.Overall this hotel comes highly recommended and made our trip truly special.

We stayed here for three nights/4 days in October (the week before the storm) and it is truly a magic hotel with bespoke decorated rooms designed around different artists. We stayed in the Tiepolo junior suite which was beautiful with a four poster bed, separate living area and large bathroom. It’s situated right on the grande canal with direct access for the water taxis. The hotel staff were extremely helpful especially Chiara who organised a booking at an amazing restaurant. The hotel is outside of the main touristy are which we found to be ideal As we could walk and explore the city. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Spent two nights pre our 25th Anniversary cruise. Really outstanding service here. Helpful directions and dinner reservation. Every staff member seems to genuinely care about your experience at the hotel in Venice. Room was lovely and breakfast was great. Water taxi from the airport dropped us right at the door and a porter was arranged by the hotel to get us to the Port for our cruise.
