A lovely place to stay, clean, comfortable, well equipped and full if character. The hotel is located within a few minutes walk of Treviso centre with a wealth of shops and restaurants. The breakfast was well equipped and caters for different diets.

First the positives: The location is perfect and central, the building is historic and has its charm, the internet is free and fast, the two young girls working there are smiley and polite, the rooms are big and the heating works. And, for an Italian hotel, it offers something special: They put in the effort and actually cook you something for breakfast in addition to the dry supermarket cornetti that you usually get.

But then. If you are planning to use this B&B for sleeping, you will be disappointed. The soundproofing is, well, there isn't any. To give you an example, I could hear water being poured into a glass in the room next door. When I used the toilet, I heard them laughing "omg, we can hear the neighbour's toilet". That's because in my room, the toilet was connected by a door to the neighbouring room (!). The door was locked, so it was a private toilet, but of course a small bathroom door does not block any noise.

In addition, the floors creak, and you also hear all the conversations in the hallways and the common areas. I could not fall asleep until 2am when the neighbour switched off their tv, and woke up at 7am when people started having breakfast in the lobby.

The beds are also very uncomfortable. They have the spring mattresses only, without the mattress pads, which means they are rock hard and you can feel the springs.

Room tip: Ask about noise levels in different rooms. Some other room might be quieter than the one I had.

We picked this b & b due to its price and location plus it has excellent reviews. It is well linked to Venice and other cities by rail and we got a bus to the station from nearby. The building is a stunning old house - very authentic Italian and very quirky. We were welcomed by the manager who was very nice - the only drawback was a poor understanding and ability to speak basic English which would be helpful to him and the guests some of whom were English and American. Clean and with good bathroom down the hall (private for us).
Breakfast basic but nice and we were asked what we would like from limited range.
On down side was noisy from creaky floors , only stud walls between rooms and hard beds!
Would I stay again? Possibly not because of the beds!! However, others may not find them hard!!
Overall lasting impression favourable though.

Stayed at this B&B for two nights. Great location close to centre of Treviso. . Was a little dissapointed we dident have an on suite room. It worked out fine as we had a privite bathroom close by. Owner very helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfast. Not recomended for people who cant climb three flights of stairs as they havent got a lift

Room tip: Very old building. Dont be put off by the look of the building from the outside
