Spent a good time with friends and family with young kids at this restaurant, food was good but nothing out of the ordinary, great wine and nice ambience. It is a tiny space so kids must be careful moving around, but this is Aosta, is not a Mall! so, no complains. Service is average and enough for whoever is not in a rush. Desserts are particularly original and delicious. Had a great time. I do advise to reserve in advance as the sitting cap is limited.

We stopped for a quick lunch. All tables were taken at the front, so the waiter did ignore us for approx 10 minutes while we stood there. We did however wait as we saw people were having coffee so knew it wouldn't be long until a table was available. In the meantime, we took a walk inside the shop to see what they were selling as it was also a continental shop selling fresh cut cold meats, cheese & pasta. This is where another waiter appeared & asked if we wanted to eat. She took us into another room inside where we discovered that this place was actually really big, a further 2 rooms of customers that were being served lunch. She was very nice. She took awhile to return with menus though but once the food was ordered, it wasn't long until the food was out, and thankfully it was delicious!!

Good wine, average food, mainly tourists
The bar is perfect to drink wine, but the food is just ok. Was a little bit disappointed

In an alley way off the main walkway through town. Very nice. We stopped and had an order of prosciutto and melon followed by a shared steak; and a bottle of wine. Really quite enjoyable. Would easily recommend. Enjoy

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here while staying in Aosta. Not cheap but good quality ingredients. We had spaghettini and orecchiette primi, followed by beef with polenta & porchetta with ratatouille, all delicious washed down with local wine (2 glasses each). €75 euros seemed quite expensive but it is tourist centre of Aosta... We sat in the wine cellar surrounded by bottles and hams so very atmospheric & lovely deli to browse on exit.

Dear 77LDP, we are glad to read such kind words and happy to know that you appreciated the dishes. Although we feel the obligation to underline an important thing you wrote. "Good quality ingredients" means that there is an important effort made by the manager and the chefs during all the phases of the preparation, even at the choosing stage.
To pick up a restaurant committed to quality means to be sure of the origin of all the ingredients; something that is the more and more uncommon. The price you paid comprehend, of course, the time spent by the chef cooking, but also the time spent by the chef looking for that particular ingredient, the time spent by the farmer producing it... You are buying the entire production chain of the products of the territory, produced by hand and made with passion. Therefore the price is legitimated by the quality of the products themselves.
We are glad that you chose us for your meal and we hope to meet again, and maybe have the chance to better explain you the origins and the story of what you'll have in your plate. We know that information can change the perceptions.
