Close to the main railway station. Large space outside. Regional cuisine with some dishes from the South of Italy. Good service and good wine. Not too expensive. I had great canederli and a tartare. Worth visiting

We drove from Germany to begin our Italian holiday, went here for dinner service was slow our food was not good. My husband ordered spaghetti, the server said it was fabulous but didn't describe it, it showed up covered with an overwhelming amount of shell fish. Not something we would have ordered and it was very salty. The bill came and there was an extra charge which we learned was for cleaning the linen! As we watched they flipped the table cloth over to use it again, so they are making a lot of extra $$ charging 2 euro per person! We wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

We dined here and was talked up by local people so we gave it the benefit of the doubt..
Sadly we were let down..
Bad points - mosquitoes that bite something shocking and even after explaining to the somewhat arrogate waitor about it he still don't address our needs. The garden hedge around where you sit to eat should be reconsidered as it had several, probably around 8 bees going baserk while we were trying to eat and had we been bitten, which the bees were quite wanting to do, it would have been mayhem!!! The pizza was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cheesy it was almost impossible to eat... The bread was super dry and not nice starter at all..

Don't get me wrong.. It has so much potential but needs some attention to address these needs.. The place over the road was almost full, this place was empty.. Something others knew we didn't.. Now we do..

We walked in as a group of 14 and we're immediately seated. We found the service fantastic - super friendly and really helpful. Everyone at out table enjoyed the food my husband had the nights special of crab with giant pasta and I had the local dish of baked salted beef with potato cakes and beans - both were delicious. Prices maybe a tad high but we'll worth a visit for a really fun night out.

A case of the good & the bad.

The good - excellent, local food, carefully prepared. We went for the single-plate house specialities. Beautiful, traditional, rustic decoration. Seats both inside & outside. A stone's throw from the castle, and a 10-minute walk from the main square.

The bad - ridiculously overpriced. For a light lunch I paid twice what I had paid for a full dinner in Innsbruck a couple of nights before (food similarly very well prepared). The Italian woman I was with mentioned that a restaurant in the countryside with similar food would have charged half the price. Plus, on two occasions the waiters tried to push us to have extra dishes we had said we didn't want, although they did stop after a second "no".

Dear FTMDave,
thanks for your feedback and for choosing us.
Regarding our prices, we're sorry if you have found them too high as they're medium normal prices for a restaurant.
Kind Regards
