We had dinner at the tucked away Ristorante La Piola in July 2015. The owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and made the night a very pleasant experience. He was as just as a highlight as the food was and the food was amazing! Dinner started with an assortment of antipasti and entree courses, followed by housemade gnocchi in basil sauce, housemade tagliatelle in red sauce, choc-mint panna cotta (amazing) and a fresh peach semifreddo. The menu is based around ingredients that are in season which gives a beautiful dining experience. The night was capped off by traditional black italian coffee made on the stove top which was followed up by grappa poured into the coffee cup straight from the barrel. Will never forget this experience. Thankyou very much!
