Owner description: Piazza San Carlo was designed by Carlo di Castellamonte in 1642 and completed in 1650. In the middle of the piazza you’ll find the equestrian statue of Emanuele Filiberto (known to all as “El Caval èd brons”), sculpted by Carlo Marocchetti in 1838. The porticoed buildings surrounding the piazza give space to numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants.

The square is on a Via Roma route to the royal place, Piazza Reale and the Turin Dome. Exclusive boutiques on both sides of the square alternate with popular mass products shops

A beautiful large piazza that epitomises a large part of Turin's history. Several of the traditional cafes are still there. The well known statute with the horse remains a central attraction. You should not miss walking through this piazza if you visit Turin.

The plaza is a wide open space, where people gather at the central statue to hang out. There are imposing buildings on all sides, but the most interesting reason to visit are the two churches on the south side, which are free to visit and well worth seeing.
