Located at Piazza del Doumo, with a view of Doumo di Milano direct from the balcony and next to the beautiful Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Nice rooms and a good sleep in nice beds. Don't miss the hotel restaurant - Felix Lo Basso Restaurant. It's a One-star Michelin restaurant in a smart setting. You will enjoy it..!! At least take a drink at the terrass.
Another restaurant not far away is Ristorante A Santa Lucia - Italian traditional food in a classic setting - it's a must when you are in Milan..

We stayed three nights in the suite with a dome view to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. The hotel is sure pricey but it was good for a special occasion like this one, with a very special view that we will remember for years to come.
The building is from the 1800s so it’s not a luxurious place and can be quite tired in some areas but it has its flare and if you like historical buildings you will surely love it (if you are more into fancy modern places you might want to choose a different place).
Mido in the front desk is very responsive, helpful and friendly. Starting from our mail inquiries prior to our arrival he always offered all information in a timely manner, and he took the time to explain everything and show us around when we were checking in.
They also left us a bottle of champagne in the suite as a welcome treat, and when we ordered an in-room breakfast for the last morning Mido offered it to us as a complimentary breakfast. It was delightful, delicious, fresh and was delivered on time.
The suite is spacious and comfortable, nice bed and good extra pillows, spacious and well equipped bathroom. The very best thing is the breath taking view of the Duomo, this is why chose this place and we didn’t regret it.

Some things that could improve:
- the complimentary water in the room was not refilled on the second day
- The amenities in the bathroom were not replaced when used, so we had to make it work for the three days with the amenities of the first day
- Some things can definitely be easy to change to reflect the price charged here, like replacing the tired towels with new ones, some of them should not be acceptable in a hotel of this level. They were clean though and replaced when used.

My wife and I came to Townhouse Duomo to kick off our 30th Anniversary trip to Italy and Croatia. There are things I liked very much at Townhouse Duomo, and things that are utterly inexplicable in a hotel in this class.

Here's what's great: the staff is friendly, efficient, and accomodating. The room we had was spacious, comfortable, and the view of the Duomo Plaza is amazing. The location couldn't be better. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant (Felix Lo Basso) on Friday evening, and it was amazing. One of the best dining experiences of my life. Also, the most expensive!

Here are the things that are puzzling at best and irksome at worst. The beds have a fabric covered banquette surrounding them that is about 18" wide. Ours was soiled and spotted as if someone had been putting a room service tray on it and eating in bed. Not acceptable when your hotel room is over 600 euros per night.

There is no street signage for the hotel. The entrance is down a dim alleyway that leads to an elevator. It is not impressive and every cab driver in the city will take you to Townhouse Galleria, which is a block away.

While breakfast was included in our room rate, it was underwhelming. It's served in a restaurant dedicated to Luciano Pavarotti that is reached by going down another dark corridor off the elevator on the fourth floor. It is strictly self-serve. There was someone there to make a cappacino, but otherwise, you are on your own. Once he makes the cappacino, he disappears. The selection is limited and doesn't change. And the Pavarotti homage gets old in a hurry. After two mornings, we opted to buy breakfast elsewhere.

Duomo 21 is the lounge on the first floor. It is reached by walking down a grimy hallway. The lounge itself has a spectacular view of the plaza, but that's the only positive. We were seated on a torn velour couch. A vodka tonic was 20 euros. The staff was surly. Really dreadful.

There was supposed to be another restaurant, but it closed.

Bottom line, this hotel has some wonderful features, but when everything is taken into consideration, it isn't remotely worth the cost.

Room Tip: If you don't get a room overlooking the Duomo Plaza, you're missing the primary reason to stay here.

A perfect location, true but the hotel itself is slightly quirky. The lighting system in our room for example felt like we were on Star Trek. A touch switch bedside panel controlled a multitude of options including one that light the underside of our bed in various hues that changed from purple to green then red and yellow, the options being selected by rather obscure icons that took some time to decipher. Perhaps our room on the third floor was an anomaly. Breakfast in the rather tired looking Pavarotti restaurant, badly in need of a paint job, is on the fourth floor but the choices are sparse. The croissants and coffee though were admittedly excellent.

In all a great location in a hotel with helpful staff but one that calls for a bit of a refit.

Located beside the Galleria the Townhouse Duomo has recently been renovated, but still holds it old traditional facade. To enter reception you use the lift to the top floor where the staff are very pleasant, friendly & helpful with good knowledge of English. There is a beautiful terrace & restaurant on this floor too. Next we were shown to our balcony room which is extremely clean & over looks the Duomo / Cathedral. The rooms have modern amenities, the beds are extremely comfortable & our housekeeper was excellent. Considering we overlooked the Duomo area where there is a lot of action from tourist & so on, the rooms are extremely quiet thanks to 2 doors that are thoughtfully closed at night. (If you so desired). A pleasant surprise was an option of a roof top walk of Milan which the hotel offers to its guests at no extra cost. The Wifi was exceptional good. The location of Townhouse Duomo is central to everything & its easy to walk to most attractions & bars. (The Aperol Bar next door is a definite must try). I would definitely recommend this hotel & can't wait to return to Milan & Townhouse Duomo again.

Room Tip: Request a balcony room over looking the square.
