My mother and I stayed here for five nights while visiting Milan. It is a beautiful, modern hotel and makes a great first impression. The staff are lovely and helpful, they gave us lots of tips of how to make the most of our stay in the city. The location was excellent. We flew into Malpensa airport and got the train to central station where we caught the M3 metro to Missori, which was pretty much outside the hotel. We used the public transport a lot as the hotel had the metro so close and there were a few trams stops within a couple of minutes walking too.
We were happy to walk around a lot too, the hotel was around a 5 minute walk from the piazza Duomo and we found a lot of the sights were easily accessed from there. Breakfast was lovely, I will be dreaming of those pistachio croissants for a while!
The only thing they didn't seem to have completely sorted was that the housekeeping staff kept on taking the half used toiletries that had been provided and not replacing. This was also the same with the tea and coffee sometimes. We had to ask for more soap at reception as all three bars of soap had been taken and not replaced. It seemed like a bit of a waste.
Other than that small niggle, we had a fab stay and would recommend staying here to visit Milan.

The Square is a new hotel in the centre of Milan with great value for money for this standard of hotel. It is spotlessly clean and elegantly decorated, with smart room furniture. The rooms are quite large indeed. Its biggest assets are its fabulous terrace on the tenth floor, overlooking the city of Milan, with its sophisticate bar and restaurant; and its perfect location in the centre of Milan, literally a couple of minutes from the Duomo and the old centre. Greatly recommended!

I stayed here for 5 nights in June 2016. We had the opportunity to check out three different rooms during our stay here as we stayed one night at the Square Milano Duomo, before checking out for two nights at Cinque Terra and coming back for the rest of our stay in Milan.

Pros:
- 10mins walking distance to Duomo and the shopping areas
- 3 mins away from subway station
- most of the receptionists were really friendly and happy to recommend us their personal favourite Italian restaurants. We did managed to try a few of the recommended ones on Vaci street which were really good.
- the hotel was really nice to allow us to store our luggages for 2 nights in between our stays (when we were away and this allowed us to travel light to cinque terra)
- the rooms and bathrooms were generally quite spacious. We were given the handicap accessible room for the first night and the normal room for the remaining nights and both had sufficient space to open our three large luggages. However, we did came across a really tiny room with a queen size bed (with balcony) when we paid to extend our stay on our last day to evening time.
- breakfast was quite good, with wide selection of juices and fruits including cherries! Though they didn't change the selection so we were a little bored towards the end of our stay.

We did encounter a minor issue with regard to the extension of our room till 5pm on the last day. Granted we shld have informed the hotel of such request earlier. We were informed that the extension would be half of the day's room rate which was fair but we were under the impression that we will be given the same room type we were staying in for the extension even though we had to check out of the current room first and move into another available room. However, we ended up in a really tiny queen size bed room.

We are really thankful towards the staff who helped us to find an alternative room for our extension with a few hours from check out time. However, it would have been a lot better if the hotel had been more transparent on the room we will be given and it didn't help that the receptionist was really rude when we tried to clarify during checkout.

Just to highlight the room type with balcony and queen sized bed is comparable to the size of rooms in Tokyo and I would highly not recommend it if that is the room type you plan to book. The room with king size bed is a lot bigger and definitely worth the price!

Good hotel even if rooms are quite small but well organised. Good breakfast and super location at 5 minutes walk to duomo area. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Good location for a city centr visit

1 night just wasn't enough in this fabulous hotel. I can't recommend it highly enough. The room was a really good size, so comfortable and clean. All the staff were professional yet friendly, especially in the roof bar where they made us feel very welcome and special, which you don't always get in a city centre hotel. The breakfast was amazing with everything you could possibly wish for. To top it all the location was excellent too. All round a fabulous experience in Milan.
