One of the rare sinistre style Catholic church... The outside is the best part. At night, Italians gather to talk and eat gelato, the place is definitely worth it, the inside is nothing special (I mean, considering Italian references...)

A free-standing row of 16 Corinthian columns - once part of a 2nd Century Roman Temple - sets San Lorenzo's frontal piazza off from the road. The vast interior of the curch was built on a circular plan, with a ring shaped ambulatory and raised woman's gallery, which you often see in such early churches. The chapel is full of historical delights: 4th Century mosaics and a Roman Portal. Defintely worth a visit!

The church and columns are a must see while in Milan. The interior is quite simple but the rebuilt dome and frescos are intriguing.
