If you have read the great reviews of this hotel they are all true. The staff is Terrific (that capital "T" is not a mistake). The rooms are very well thought out. The wifi is good (tested at 20 mbs+). They have a dedicated charging plug that is always hot. Victoria gave terrific advice on everything. We took a two day side trip, they stored our extra luggage and when we returned it was waiting for us in our room. Great location. Walk to Duomo, Brera, Galleria and take the #16 cable car directly to The Last Supper. I could go on and on on how terrific this hotel is. We felt completely at home in this hotel and you will too.

Close to the Cadorna Train Station if that is how you are arriving in Milan. And close enough to walk to most of Milan’s major sites. Very friendly and helpful staff. The place has a contemporary decor if you care about that kind of thing. The included breakfast was plentiful. Our room was very clean and neat with a comfortable bed. I can highly recommend it and would stay there again.

I’m not sure if the pictures on the website are outdated, but our room was modern and streamlined (no large pictures of animals?). We had a small balcony, and I appreciated the fact that we could leave our luggage there on the day of checkout, while we explored more of Milan. The hotel is located on a small side street, so there’s not a lot of traffic, yet it’s a 5ish minute walk to the Duomo. We were able to easily walk to the Last Supper, as well as the Sforza Castle. We felt safe walking around that area at night, and there are many restaurants nearby. The only negative was that the breakfast provided at the hotel was not very good.

Hotel Star is certainly a quirky hotel, but it’s clean and pretty comfortable. The staff at the front desk was super helpful helping us get around--whether that be advice on using the street cars or getting us a cab. The rooms were weird with the animals and all; and that you had to put a key card in to turn the lights on, making it tough in the middle of the night not waking my spouse up, but the bathrooms were beautiful (we stayed in two different rooms on the front and back end of our journey throughout Italy) with very nice bath tub jets and some with shower jets that were amazing! Beds were comfortable based on Italy standards .Very importantly it’s centrally located—a true 6-7 minute walk to the Duomo, under 15 minutes cab ride to Milano Centrale, and about 10 minute cab ride to Milano Cadorna station. Obviously MXP airport is far from any hotel in the city so that doesn’t count. It’s under a 15 minute ride to get to Navigli area which is great—you can also take a street car which was super easy. The free breakfast wasn't great, but it's FREE!

clean, well maintained hotel 3 minutes walk from La Scala, Galleria and Duomo in safe neighborhood - close to old Milan, easy walk to metro and commutes to train stations
Most staff was very helpful although one older male desk clerk always seemed brusk and as tho we were interrupting him. His directions and mannerisms seemed dismissive . The female desk clerk gave great directions, ideas, etc. The room was very nice, & sweet little courtyard accessable around the hall floor from our room .Breakfast buffet was generous and selection large.
Power went off twice on our floor during our three night stay and bathrooms are tiny. But price was good, location excellent and so greatly situated that it was easy to return during the day. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: GREAT location, easy walking and close to good restaurants
