We have just spent 4 nights at the Uptown Palace in Milan, and unfortunately have to agree with the majority of the negative reviews on here. We booked a deluxe king room, which on arrival was very very small & I was disappointed to see two single beds pushed together. For the price, I expected a king bed; and it was not the most comfortable nights sleep. We have been travelling round Italy, and the staff on reception were by far the rudest we had experienced, and need some training in customer service. They provided one bath robe in the room, which was covered in holes! The room was booked "with a view", and it looked out onto a main road, with building works. The hotel bar is very pricey, and lacked atmosphere. The one and only positive is that the breakfast was superb, and the waitresses are all very friendly. Overall, I felt we could have received better value for money, and unfortunately I will not be returning to this hotel.

Very nice hotel, classy and service was good. For me I would have personally liked to stay in a more "local" feel hotel than a chain/branded hotel. BUT that being said it was nice, clean and I would not hesitate to stay again.

Was a bit out of the way from the main points of interest (for us tourists) while in Milan, but that would be the only minor complaint I had.

This hotel was in a perfect location for transport into the main areas of Milan. The room was smart and classy. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Staff were professional and helpful. Breakfast buffet was delicious! Very little that could have been improved.

Hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk to Duomo so quite well located.
rooms are very small and rather bland.....not enough lighting in the room and darker shades gives it a dated feel.
There's not enough manoeuvring space in the room once you put a suitcase in !

The rooms are clean though and the housekeeping seems efficient enough. There was not much of a view from my room. The air conditioning seems to stop quite regularly as it seems to be controlled centrally hence the rooms do get rather hot and stuffy. I visited in mid august during the heat wave so this was something that needs to be improved upon.
The staff at reception seemed to be inconsistent with one staff being very helpful whilst the rest were just bidding the hours away and seemed not interested.
As the hotel wasn't too good we decided not to try the restaurants .
Also charging 5 euros for an adapter was not a good move particularly when most hotels lend you one during your stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights on the last part of our tour , the reception staff are very nice and helpful with everything , the room was very nice and we was very impressed with it , very nice decor all the mod cons and a comfy bed , the car park is round the corner and they get a discount for guests , the bar is a bit expensive as well as the mini bar so get your drink and prosecco from the supermarket down the road , be warned you can't buy your tickets on the trams so don't get on it as we found out and got fined for it by a horrible jobsworth tart even though we got off one stop after realising it and carry your licence or passport with you at all times in Milan as they do you for that As well ,ruined it for us in the end , nice hotel though and only 2 stops in the trams to the centre
