This hotel is centrally located but that’s the only positive thing I can find to say about it. Our room was faintly but persistently malodorous - my companion found it reminiscent of a previous encounter with a dead pigeon. The bed was indifferent. The shower was temperamental. We stayed here for only one night - enough time to see the essential sights of central Milan (including an unforgettable viewing of Leonardo’s Last Supper - one of Italy’s most wonderful experiences). Would not stay at the Hotel Nuovo again and it was with a sigh of relief that we left it left for the charms of a Venetian palazzo.
