Two wonderful meals at this lovely restaurant. Everything was well prepared and delicious. The waiter was helpful with recommendations and forgiving of our limited Italian. Instead of the usual breadsticks and tasteless whatever-they-are basket of things delivered to the table in most restaurants, you get a heaping portion of fresh from the oven warm cracked pizza crust with oil salt and dried wild oregano. Great start to the meal. The platter of local speck, salami, and polenta with marinated onions and a side of the house made mostarda was excellent. The pumpkin gnocchi were amazing. The rabbit and lamb osso bucco were terrific. The place does pizza too and altho we didn't get it on either visit it looked really good. We delivered our complimenti to the owners who saw nothing out of the ordinary in their cooking. 'We Just use the best ingredients and do it the old fashioned way.' When we asked about the mostarda, the host called Moma from the kitchen who gave us a step by step lesson on how to make it. Then offered us grappa and amaro. A truly fun delicious and memorable meal.
