I have to say this is a great location for the area. Right in the heart of Riomaggiore. My main complaint was the shower. Now I'm not a small person 6' 250 lbs but I couldn't fit through the door of the shower, and after hiking up the trails and streets it was needed. A few extra amenities such as a coffee maker and an extra blanket would also been appreciated. All in all it was a good value for the location. The check in went well and we did have a great time.
Gracious host. Very informative! Location was above the main street affording lively viewing of street life's. Fascinating! Close to restaurants, the marina and hiking. Cute spot. I am male and have a 44" chest. Impossible for me to fit into this tiny shower. Not a problem. Became enamored of the bidet. Wonderful experience! We shall return.
Cecilia was helpful, the room was clean and spacious. Less stair climbing to get to the room than an average rental in riomaggiore, but there is no parking as stated in amenities. There is only paid parking in the car garage, or you can park for free at your own risk quite a distance from the property. Paid parking is not cheap, and the lift was broken (a theme in Italy). If you are fit, this is still a challenge. Riomaggiore and the terre are not for people with physical issues. There are many steep hills and stairs, but it is beautiful! Oh yes, the shower was very tiny. A large person would not fit. Overall, a good buy.
It was raining when we arrived but the staff was very caring, served us all hot beverages and made us feel at home. To be honest, when I booked this place I had reservations because it was the only place available to rent, so I thought maybe something was not good about it. But it turned out to be one of the best. Staff was helpful, friendly, caring and the apartment was clean, comfortable and very roomy. The view was so beautiful. I am so glad I booked this place. Breakfast was one of the finest with good choices. So I would recommend this place with flying colors!
Cecilia the property manager was great. She was very helpful responding to emails prior to our arrival and met us right near the train station (on time) and checked us into this very quaint apartment in a historic building overlooking main street. We figured out the water heater (in the bedroom closet) after our first cold shower. This unit does not have TV and wifi is from a local bar so you need to be near a window to get a good signal. Also no AC which maybe a problem for summer visitors, but our weather was perfect in the mid 70sF so we just enjoyed the breezes with open windows.
A good spot for a couple. Walk to bars, restaurants, shops, marina, train station, etc. Overall a very good value.
